I just only adopted a kitten.

So far so good, taught her to poo and pee in the litter box and it went well for a few days. Until last night, suddenly I saw her poo on my bed sweat.gif

Anyone here can recommend me a good cat repellent for sofa/bed stuff?

It's normal for new cats to relapse. Give her time. Did you put the litterbox in the bedroom?

I don't have any experience on this. Did you bring your cat to vet yet? I just read about this just now, depending on the severity, change of diet is needed, cat food with higher fiber. Did you try that? Better ask vet for better advice.

I bring my cat to 1 of vet clinic near my house twice every week.. what he do .. he only manual dig out all the stool and he gave me bottle of laxative to feed my cat everyday 3ml.. i been repeat this for month and nothing improve .. i told my vet i put oat bran to my cat food for fiber but doctor told me that is a stupid action which cat will produce more stool and it only will lead to more terrible

he also suggest me to bring my cat for surgery which cut off the whole megacolon .. the surgery cost rm3k which is super expensive and after the surgery .. the cat might always diarrhea all the time until end of life icon_question.gif

She may relapse from time to time. It's normal for new cats, especially kitten but she eventually stop doing that. I think you know the faster solution, put litter box (or another litter box) in the bedroom. smile.gif

You can consider SmartSift litter box if "eeww" factor is a concern. I have two & I put one in the back bedroom where some of my cats like to hangout & sleep.

It's probably already chronic, that's why the vet suggest surgery. Yeah, 3k is to expensive. Did you try gov vet clinic? I think all district gov vet clinic can do surgery but I don't know whether they can do this surgery. Where do you live? Maybe you can try UPM vet hospital. I heard they charge reasonably.

BTW, if anyone want to neuter/spay their cats but have little budget, you guys can try check out your nearest district gov vet clinic. For example, Kerian (Parit Buntar, Perak) district gov vet clinic offer neuter & spay services for RM40 & RM80 respectively. I don't know about other places/states though.

I'm guessing you're using non-clumping litter? Depending on the environment where the litter box located, the non-clumping litter can get smelly quickly. If you have sensitive nose, better use clumping litter. The only non-clumping litter that best in controlling odor, IMO, is crystal type litter but you still need to replace it every week or two.

Also, if I'm correct you're using non-clumping litter, this could explains why your kitten relapse. Some cats very sensitive with the smell & refuse to use the litter box, even though the litter only a couple of days old.

I can't predict what he is going to look like in the future. Maybe the colour remain the same or maybe there would be some changes to the colour. But I think he is look like Birman than Persian. I have two kittens that when born was all white but when they getting older, the nose become black & the tail have black shade a little. Now 7 months old, fur on the tummy also have black shade & their fur not true white anymore, like Siamese but not exactly.

This article may be able to answer the question.

http://pets.thenest.com/cats-hump-theyre-neutered-9963.html

It mentioned there, neutered cat can get female cat pregnant around 6 weeks after neutering. Yours already 8 months, hormones should already exit his body. Probably the neutering process not complete? I was going to bring my male cat next for neutering. If this is the case, I might bring my female cat for spaying instead. At least spaying is permanent.
