Where???You upload it?
Freezing wouldnt lead to creation of minidump file. Should have other issue in your system.

While you upload your minidump file.
Have a look at your Event Viewer

Displaying Event Viewer
  1. Click Start then Run
  2. Type
CODE

Eventvwr

In Event Viewer look at both System Log and Application Log.
You can save a copy of your log and upload it here.

Use the Action toolbar and choose Save Log As
Then, save the log as .txt file and upload it here.

Halo,

BugCheck 0X7F UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP

You are using a Integrated Graphic Accelerator to play RA3??
I doubt it supports the game.

Use a graphic card is better or your IGA/IGP might get spoiled one day.

Thanks

Hi there,
I have a look over your minidump file and the error is pointed to your AVG.
Can i know do you have any bandwith monitoring software installed in your system?
How you get online? Wireless or LAN?

I suppose it crashes when it tries to update.

Thanks

I dont hav any bandwith monitoring software installed on my lappy. Is there anything to do wif Vista?

I get online via LAN and sometimes wireless. Most of the time via LAN. The wireless coverage is not so got in my campus and sometimes get DC during surfing.

How to rectify dis prblem?

I would suggest you to disable your wireless when you online with LAN. Therefore it will not crash. From what i observe is conflict of IP that your system crash. It happens recently right?

I am using Vista Ultimate 64 bit .. running on Gainward 4850 golden sample graphic card.... Having some BSOD recently and I would be glad if someone could help identify what causes it...

Normally it happens when I am trying to change resolution of games.. For eg: changing from fullscreen back to window mode it will go BSOD ... and a few time which I forgotten what I did that trigger the BSOD ...

anyway here is the minidumps -- > http://rapidshare.com/files/162099052/md.rar.html

From what i can observe from your minidump file.
It looks like your ATI driver crash when you are trying to change from fullscreen back to window mode.

Are you using the latest driver?

Bug Check 0x116: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR
This indicates that an attempt to reset the display driver and recover from a timeout failed.

yup.it happen recently. i think there's truth in what u said. I just realized that dis bsod problem only occur when im in campus. at home no problemo bcoz i just use wireless. No need to change to LAN. I'll observe my lappy performance and let u know later. btw i'm really glad to know that it's not hardware problem.

Thanks francis. smile.gif
