This wednesday I asked Viewnet in Lowyat when i wandered around, they said still got stock and rarely a person buy 290X now since GTX 900 series are on the rack...

I really hope so... I gonna act on February... decided on cheapo 290X originally...

I'm thinking the same, but unsure buying an 1 year old GPU now are wise enough... but it is durt cheap now, 380X/390X wont be as cheap as this, i guess...

The lightning cooler just make me poisoned deeply...

You need to wait 1 year plus for 380x/390x to be cheap.

I saw this... after days of struggling, I finally made decision, now this news just giving me doubt of my current choice Fate ah fate...

I haven't saw any game uses more than 4GB VRAM other than Shadow of Mordor high resolution texture pack.

Also some newer games can't even use MSAA anymore, too demanding already... Have to use SMAA or FXAA now

COD Advanced warfare got, in the form of 'supersampling', i guess it is a kind of SSAA. Crysis 3 got, watch dog got this option, not using it now...

dont bother, on latest games, turning on anything >2x MSAA will kill your FPS faster than you can say " Not Enough VRAM!"

SMAA is different.

For me SMAA is the best AA for now. Performance impact is just few percent like FXAA, but it looks really good.
I have to say I prefer it over MSAA 4x, MSAA looked sharp. MSAA's performance impact may reach 15-30%

Far Cry 4 with SMAA looked awesome.
