Tough budget for ITX. How about these?

Core i5-4460 - RM619
Asrock B85M-ITX motherboard - RM289
Kingston 4GB DDR3-1600 x1 - RM129
WD Blue 1TB hard disk - RM179
Antec VP500 power supply - RM149
WIFI USB dongle - RM20

RM1385 total (Viewnet prices)

I guess you have to live with crappy FPS for 1080p with built-in GPU.

Try Sapphire R7 265 2GB DDR5 Dual-X at RM529. That's bare minimum for DirectX 11 1080p gaming. Also, Asrock H97M-ITX/ac has built-in wifi but it is priced at RM349.

TristanX, where can you find Asrock H97N ITX/ac for 349? I asked most of them offering around 365 - 369…

Besides, gigabyte h97N WiFi and asrock's. Both has minor difference and I can go any brand I like right?

Yeah, there is price hike due to US dollar. It was 349.

That's up to you for the brand.

i5-4690K (RM819) is not worth it. It is at the price of Xeon E3-1231 V3(RM829) which is slightly underclocked i7. And if you not gonna OC the i5, even worse

I suggest going for these instead

Xeon E3-1231 V3 - RM829
Coolermaster Hyper 212X - RM149
Asrock H97 Pro4 motherboard - RM329
Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB DDR3-1600 x1 - RM249
Intel 530 120GB SSD - RM259
WD Blue 1TB hard disk - RM179
Gainward GTX970 4GB DDR5 - RM1099 (from Idealtech or lingloong)
Seasonic M12 II Evo 520W power supply - RM279
Bitfenix Neos case - RM179

RM3551 total (Viewnet prices)

Building a pc for work from zero basically.

[Budget] RM4000

[Purpose] 3D Rendering, Video Editing, Graphics/Design/Purposes (No-gaming)

[Hardwares that will be re-use] None

[Monitor resolution] prefer 24

[Games & softwares that use frequently] Maya/3dsmax/Adobe Suites

[Personal preferences] No idea or deep knowledge regarding the hardwares. But in term of performance I wish the render speed can be improved (in real time and post) and editing too. Can runs smooth preview without having to temporary render the frames again and again.

[Location] Penang / KL

Maybe can topup budget, feel free to suggest.
I want to know more about the essential hardwares for these type of works. unsure.gif

Thanks to all sifus.

Thanks for the input!!
Btw so its possible to run two disks at the same time?
I mean like SSD and HDD together at once. the main thing is the SSD right (where the OS is located)? ohmy.gif and I can save most of my files or works to the HDD. And may I know what is the maximum ram I can add up to? 16gb? 8x2 or can I put more slots in. notworthy.gif Thanks so much.

If lets say I really go with this rig, in the far future Im still able to do upgrades right, like the GPU for example (Just need to check the compability?) ohmy.gif

Yes, you can.

The motherboard has 4 RAM slots. Recommended RAM is already 8GB x2.

As for the GPU upgrades, it depends on what you are buying. Add RM80 for 620W power supply if you want more room for GPU upgrades.
