[Budget]
Expect Budget Range from RM1800 to RM2000

[Purpose]
Browsing Web, Homework, YouTube, Social, Some mini online games that is NOT heavy graphic (You can think of it as it was a light casual user)

[Hardwares that will be re-use]
NONE

[Games & softwares that use frequently]
Chrome are the most and Microsoft Office are seconds.

[Personal preferences]
- Core i3 model
- Mobo (no idea) (2 Ram Slot would be more than enough; No plan for future graphic card upgrade)
- HDD 1TB
- RAM 4GB
- DVDReader
- Power supply + Casing (if small or compact would be a bonus)
- 24" monitor
- I need a WiFi adapter (Using UNIFI)

[Location] Gonna buy from Idealtech again, but not sure which spec list to start from.

PS: Not sure my budget can throw in a 24" IPS Monitor? whistling.gif I saw Dell one RM8XX shocking.gif if that case, my rig would be just RM1k only doh.gif

NightFelix looking for casing? I have just hanging around lowyat plaza few days ago looking for casing too.

If you are looking for m-atx casing, you might want to get this (@ Sri Comp):
http://leapfroglobal.com/amg/pc-components/nanotron-t1x.html
Initially I also don't like the design that above got hole open air. However, the Thermaltake Versa series TristanX recommended really have better built quality than Cooler Master. Else, pay a little bit more to get the Bitfenix Neos.
Well, in the end I settled with Armageddon Hectatron T3X. (RM109 @ Viewnet) [Because it includes two 120mm fans, the intake fan got led fyi  smile.gif]

Thanks for suggestion. In deed some very good option. Currently already using a Bitfenix Shadow. Very like their design.

Thank you to TristanX and BOTAK_WAI, I finally ended up this build due to RM2,000 budget for building the Rig with Monitor. tongue.gif Cut the Core i5 back to Core i3 and changed the Casing to BitFenix Neos. laugh.gif

i thought you opted for Bitfenix Shadow? Shadow is nicer than Neos but Neos seems to have better airflow. However you won't go wrong with either 1.  thumbup.gif
You go for Neos with window or w/o window?

Spec wise but do you feel that the TP-LINK TL-WN727N USB Wifi adapter a bit weak on signal? Because I have been using this for long time already, can online but file transferring slow... sad.gif

For 24" Dell E2414H is ok but BenQ EW2440 spec is better. I just realize BenQ has revised their warranty policy on LCD monitor this year, if last time definitely no go. For now it seems can be recommended already:

Product: LCD Monitor

Warranty Period: 3 year for labor and parts if purchased on or after 1st Jan 2015

Warranty Service Type: Carry-in / On-site pick up* (On-site Pick up Service is available with respect to the product covered by BenQ's On-site Pick up Warranty only.)
Previously

Warranty Period: 3 year for labor and parts except panel 1 year only) if purchased before 1st Jan 2015.

Warranty Service Type:  Carry-in

Nope. I go for Neos, Shadows is already using one. Got window and without windows what is the biggest different? hmm.gif

Was using Unifi, should change my wifi adapter I guess? hmm.gif or have to do with my wifi modem?

Dell all way to go for a peace of mind with the warranty.. whistling.gif Dell brand are top rated on Amazon, so can't go wrong with this one. whistling.gif

right: got window

if u no transfering file over the WiFi, the WiFi adapter is sufficient for your use.

I'm dam pissing of for dealing with IdealTech.

After I done my first purchase experience from them last year, I was rate 5 Stars for them but not this 2nd times purchase.
I will update more info later on if I can't settle in very good way with them.

Update: Alright, I have done settle with them with the 2nd purchase, it was my own fault that I didn't know that they have to charge customers for Postage if Full Rig purchase below RM3,000, as their quotation they send me didn't mentioned the postage fee until I fully payments, then they only update me there are RM45 charges for Postage.

That is why I was so pissing why didn't telling me earlier? Because last year, I bought the Rig from them was above RM3,000, that is why I thought all purchases from them are FREE delivery. Of course the RM45 is not a huge amount for me, but as a Customers point of view, at least they should apologies for their mistake which didn't let me know early on.

Conclusion is, it was just some misunderstanding/miscommunication, but next time future buyer please ask every single details before making purchase, or else you end up like me in Rage Mode. In case you ask did I proceed with this deal? Yes I did, even thou he offer me full refund if doesn't satisfy with them.

128gb ssd is so cramp....urghh  rclxub.gif
last time using, always got error with PS "scratch disk full" =___________________=
and sometimes if space is not enuf, got stuck on windows update
*
I'm not sure what is your issues having on PS.

I'm using SSD128GB (Plextor) + HDD1TB (WD) combo for my Ai+Ps Workstation. Working flawless. No scratch disk problem.
I believe that you didn't setup the scratch disk move to your HDD.

I googled as well , but wanted somebody in here opinion .
My budget is under RM200 only so NO.

Just pick the WD 1TB HDD or Seagate 1TB HDD (whichever are cheaper)

But I would pick WD since most of my WD serve me pretty well from the first day I use PC.

Hello sifus,

Should I buy my rig before or after GST? Will the price hike a lot? Also I like a recommendation a rig that is easy to carry around. I'm looking at Corsair's 380T as my main case. Budget would be around 2.5k or less

Thank you!
*
Your budget RM2,500 +6% GST = RM150 extra

1st option sounds nice, read quite a number of bad reviews on i3 and the fact that it wont be as futureproof as i5's? is it really necessary to get a new psu or can i use the atx 480?

REMARKS :
-1 x 20+4 pin Mainboard
-3x4Pin IDE
-1xSATA
-1x4pin FDD
-1x4-pin P4
-8cm fan
-SGCC shell

sorry if im trying to be mr.krabs here;( based on your suggestion do you think i need a new motherboard also? i will be buying windows 7 64bit later on today. will definitely check 8gb ram upgrade;)Thanks for such a quick response!
*

Dell's U2414H is a decent 24" (23.8 to be precise). Being using it for over 1 year, definitely worth every pennies spent. Also I am pairing it with GTX970 now, work like a charm.

If you on budget, S2415H is a similar offering (except it isn't ultrasharp and glossy) but cheaper.
*
Excuse me Sir, I wanna ask regarding the Dell U2414H, I know is IPS, but is it Matte finishing?

So dunno whether it's matte or not...  sweat.gif

1) Buy 8GB RAM x1 because future you still can add another 8GB RAM.
2) Not much different in real life between the clock speed of the RAM, pick which ever cheapest and common, because in future is way better to buy the same clock speed of RAM if you upgrade.
