In reverse, me & others tot losing interest as have to xfer to another bank (lose 1 day or so) and make another trip (diff day)to another bank to be troublesome. Hahaha ! So cut the lost NOW !

Talked to SCB RM:

They have new FD promo for:

Conventional FD:
9 mths 4.25%
15 mths 4.5%

Conditions are single placement only, cannot split into multiple FD certs, min 5k to 1mil max. But I guess can get approval if needed. Until 31/3 or max 600 mil.

Islamic FD 15 mth 4.5% promo for existing customer OK (fresh fund only) but need approval. Also need to wait for cheque to clear before effective. So might as well go for the conventional one.

UOB wise can withdraw FD in any branch.

OCBC leng lui RM also talked to me about the investment product for new PB customer. I passed on it and go for their straight FD 12 mth 4.2%.

SCB 15 mth 4.5%.

Bro, the terms are the same as the previous one (20/1 till 6/2/2015). So you need NOT be invited. Please see attached old T & C. Sorry as that time did not scan the document, so blur blur.

Received call from AmBank ABM. 2 mth 3.6% FD. Min 10k until end of March.

Not that attractive. But good for those looking at 2 months FD.

Captain, I just called SCB RM. He confirmed that the 15 mth 4.5% FD still on going. Also the conventional FD also running. I mentioned this again yesterday.

Wow, first one (for last 2 years ?) to say putting for 5 years. Yet earlier there are people saying who is putting more than 2/3 years ?

The longest I put is 3 years in AmBank for 4.5% last Dec.

Check the FD cert. Stated there for FD >12 mths, interest to be paid 6 monthly.

You mean SCB asking you to show proof ?

The leng lui in SCB also told me verbally interest is to be paid every 6 mths.

No interest paid yet for ur FD 15 mth since Sunday due ? Need to check mine on Thursday.

What is your renewal instruction for the FD ? Not sure if it has anything to do with the issue of 6 monthly interest.

Mine is:
(2) Renew principal at prevailing rate for same term, credit interest to same currency account number

As I plan to terminate the FD on the maturity date and the leng lui said it is the only option for the FD promo, so do not want to argue with leng lui. Let it be.

Uncle Boom got so many gifts. Must be bringing few gf or leng lui there for the Advance accounts ?
