He is one of the Five Directional Gods of Wealth. None of the Five Lords of Pestilence has the surname Zhao.

Hi,
I recently went to a SINTUA in Tampines and was amazed. The medium was an Indian and he got tranced to Toh Ya Pek and also Li Ah Pek. He gave me a 4D and I strike 1st prize. I was also walking past the prayers place and decided to see the medium and got a lottery number. I heard they trance here on every 15 of the chinese month. Anyone heard about this place before? #Tampines Tua Li Ya Peh Sintua 大二爺伯 #TuaLiYaPek #Hellgods #大二爺伯 This post has been edited by thomasbone: Feb 8 2018, 11:10 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |

Hi,
First time posting here. I have spent last few days to read up all the posts here from page 1 till the end. It is really a good read and full of information. Thanks to @nachtsider and other contributors. I would like to ask a few questions. I believe these questions has not been asked yet but in any case if I missed it please refer me to correct post. 1. My family practise, what now I know as Sintua, but I want to know when my late relatives passed away, there was a "ceremony" lead by a priest. The priest usually has 3 sets of robes, namely red, yellow and black and the chanting is done 4 times every night (One time with red, one time with yellow and twice with black) until the day of burial or cremation. The priest usually chant and carrying handheld bell. During chanting/praying every night, the praying was accompanied by 2 musician with traditional musical instruments. Is this Sintua practise? From what I read here, Sintua does not has priest? Or is it Taoist? 2. Can you share more information like background/history/legend of and how to pray and why people pray to General Horse 马将军? 3. Does all Sintua medium must go in trance to connect to the deity? Is the medium that "communicate" but not go in trance legit? 4. I am in Singapore. Can recommend Hell Theme Sintua? More questions will come when I think of it. Actually when I start reading I have lots of questions but most of them has been answered in the previous post. Huahaha.... My family has a long believe in Sintua but for me I am just a recent believer and now I pray to mainly Tua Pek Kong, Tua Ji Ya Pek and Cundhi Guanyin / 準提观音 |

Someone who communicates with a deity without going into trance can be legit, certainly, but those are very rare. 4. The Ci Shui Gong at No 2, Yishun Industrial Street 1, Singapore 768159 is a trustworthy organisation and a good place to start. Nacht |

It means my family practice all Buddhist, Taoist and Sintua. Huahaha..... My mom herself go to Mahayana Buddhist Temple regularly for the chanting session. But pray to various god and goddess in Sintua and we always has the priest during family or relative funeral. Regarding the '马将军' I am not sure myself. Back in Indonesia, it comes as a pair (See attached photos). One general holding a horse and his partner is a general who hold the war flag. In Singapore, Seng Wong Beo (http://www.beokeng.com/disptemple.php?temple=seng-wong-beo) has this deity too but it was a horse itself without any general and located in the same altar as Tiger God and the Heavenly Dog. Thanks for the recommendation for the Temple. Will go and have a look when I have time. This post has been edited by lie_ric: Mar 10 2018, 03:01 PM |

One such place is the Qi Yu Dian, which I have touted earlier in the thread. QUOTE(nachtsider @ Nov 21 2015, 09:09 AM) There is this one temple known as the Hall of Sevenfold Jade/七玉殿. It is one of the few temples in my hometown of Klang dedicated exclusively to the Hell deities, boasting the all-merciful Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva in the main hall, and a special air-conditioned, cave-like basement room where the Black and White Brothers and other lesser but more fearsome Hell beings reside. You can visit them at 4, Jalan Cox, 41300 Klang; they hold consults on Saturday nights at 9:30 p.m or thereabouts. The temple is admittedly somewhat difficult to find, being off the beaten track; it is located down by the river bank near the Fairy Park funeral parlour, close to Wisma TLT and the old Pawagam Sri Intan. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
