Actually, Hell themed events and temples in Klang are rare.

The number of temples and sintuas in Klang where Hell deities are channelled can be counted on two hands.

Taking photos in a Hell section is perfectly fine as long as you ask permission first and do not use the flash.

Perhaps one day I shall stop by and immortalise this basement chamber in photographs.

PSA: The Hungry Ghost Festival starts on 22 August.

Do not antagonise the ghosts in any way.

Refrain from disturbing the offerings for the ghosts (it is okay to clear or move them several hours after they have been laid out or burned), or trespassing into spaces reserved for them.

The principal days on which offerings are made en masse are the first, fifteenth and last days of the Seventh Month.

Offerings for random hungry ghosts should not be laid out or burned within your home or its compound; do this some distance away, or at a public place like a temple.

Offerings for your loved ones can be made within the grounds of your home, and should always include an address slip with the intended recipient's full name, date of birth and date of death.

Do not offer anything apart from food, traditional incense paper and simple paper clothing.

It is kind to make offerings to the Hell deities, as well, because they are tasked with protecting you from the hungry ghosts and maintaining the peace; offer them tobacco, alcohol and roasted meat.

Apart from all this, anything goes, really.

Klang's Hock Teck Zia Sin Geng, a prominent sintua dedicated primarily to Tua Pek Gong, will be holding a celebration in honour of Lord Zhang the Serpent Queller plus the Hellish hosts next week.

The festival spans 25-27 August, with the main event taking place on 27 August at 7 p.m.

Finally i pay a visit at the back of the 保灵宫 temple.
I only able to pray to both horse and cow guard outside.
My heart and leg doesnt allow me to go in.
I stop at the border untill my uncle bring me in.
We pray follow the orders and my uncle ask for lucky number.
As we chat with the sifu, the operation hours can go up to 4 to 5am.
Hope to pray again soon.

Being prisoners with sentences to serve and penance to pay, they are in no position to grant you requests and have no power to do so.

Pity them, yes, but do not trust them as far as you can spit.
