ok, let start another theory....
if A got 10,000 units in fund A
B got 12,000 units in fund B

if both fund Nav increased by RM 0.10

A will have + RM 1000
B will have + RM 1200

up until now...I think the above is correct...am I?

if correct....then continue....
that means MORE units will get more gains when the Nav is up the same. Right?

if correct, the continue....
that will also means MORE units will get more loses when the Nav drops. Right?

if yes ...then continue....
how can get more units?..2 methods I can think of..
1) buy more
2) ............. (dare not say...later kena biawak shits)  laugh.gif

Mangkuk?
fund A 20cents per unit
Fund B RM1.00 per unit

Sorry folks, the world economy is not going to improve much this year. Or next year.
The world economy will grow by just 3.5% in 2015, and by 3.7% in 2016, according to the latest estimate from the International Monetary Fund. Both estimates are down 0.3 percentage points from the group's previous forecast, made in October.
One bright spot was the United States: The IMF revised its estimate for U.S. economic growth to 3.6% this year, up half a percentage point from the October forecast.
The IMF estimates underscore the difficult set of choices facing policymakers around the world.

sweat.gif sweat.gif hmm.gif In October, the markets haywired after the cut in forecast.

maybe he was refering to the RSP special list..
RSP Special List is a list of funds where you are not required to have an initial investment for the funds before starting the RSP. The minimum RSP investment amount for most of the funds is RM100 per month.

if Mr Chen refering to EI AP ex Jpn Target Return n having other similar same covered region, sure must support his own fund abit la

but to me, diversification is more like covering other different regions thus minimize risk than hvng a focus fund/investment

no comment on diversification on strategy, i guess that is the next step

thanks for pointing out wink.gif

hmm.gif i think Mr Chen is NOT saying that to promote his fund.... doh.gif when he said that he is not promoting EI funds....
he was talking about "Psychology and Investing"
Synopsis: Successful investing doesn't require one to be a genius. In fact, Warren Buffett once quipped, "Success in investing doesn't correlate with I.Q. once you're above the level of 25. Once you have ordinary intelligence, what you need is the temperament to control the urges that get other people into trouble in investing." Here we look at some of the common psychological barriers and mental pitfalls preventing investor from becoming more successful and explore strategies to overcome them.

i think he is JUST saying "even though similar mandate, strategy and stock selection could be different between fund houses" is in the post above.
david83 is that correct?
