QUOTE(edge85 @ Apr 11 2013, 10:50 PM) Whatever a removable appliance can or cannot do, Invisalign works just the about same. It can never fully replace bracers. In your case, if 'bodily movement' is indicated then Invisalign is not able to produce such movement. to fix bimax malocclusion, extraction of premolars are most usually indicated (to gain space for tipping movements of your teeth), and this aligners cannot keep tooth in it's position well enough during space closure. I just completed my dental impression using a different material yesterday to send to the lab for creating a tray. My treatment plan requires 30 tray within 13 months in order to make a planned retraction. The first tray shall arrive approximately 10 days from today. Quite excited, apart from the fact that I will lost 4 teeth soon. It should be no problem to go for Invasalign in my case, just the major different between Invasalign and conventional braces are mostly (i) cost required and (ii) slightly longer time because it purely depend on patient's adherence to wear it while conventional braces is fixed on your teeth. Also may I know the courses of your information regarding these aspects? Is it from working experiences or reading; because I might need your kind advise from time to time now. 13 months is not a short period of time

Hi,
I was wondering, how much would Invasalign cost. I was a metal braces wearer during my high school days and after years of diligence and pain, i did the stupidest thing every braces-wear should never do - which is to neglect wearing the retainer and when it broke, i didnt get it replaced.
Some time ago, i noticed my teeth moved again =_= so much for wearing braces before! and i'm actually thinking of getting invasalign. All i know it's expensive, but how expensive is expensive? Can someone also recommend me where i should go to get invasalign?
Thanks!

Yes, Invisalign is relatively VERY new compared to its previous procedures. Its quite hard to find a second opinion to strengthen my trust that it will be okay to try it since most of the reviews are well enough to make one to try; internationally speaking . I will create a new dedicate thread soon after receiving my first tray soon, and let me know if any of your colleague study/know well about this ya!

Ahhh my Invisalign was canceled. The company is currently overwhelmed with order and they decided to NOT providing all my 30 trays altogether but 5-10 trays in few months, which is very risky since the treatment plan is very expensive and anything could happened before receiving all the trays; thus my orthodontist decided to cancel the order and I choose simple metallic braces as an alternative. Now currently wearing a rubber separator in both lower back teeth. Feeling quite a discomfort....

QUOTE(doublezul @ Mar 19 2013, 04:33 PM) is RM5500 for metal braces with monthly tightening consider reasonable ? The price of conventional metal braces depends a lot on the location of the clinic and also the condition of your teeth. Do not be afraid to go for a consultation at the clinic most convenient to you to get a quotation on the price. Just to give an idea, I know of some clinics in Subang which charges up to RM6k ++ for metal braces with monthly tightening whereas some clinics in Klang only charges half of that with tightening/ check up every 2 or 3 weeks. Hi all,
Any good orthodontist to recommend for Damon Braces in KL/Selangor area? Appreciate your reply. Thanks.
I've heard of Dr Wong in Sri Petaling but I am not too sure whether he is an orthodontist or not. Any one?

Maybe it have a difference between extracting a diseased tooth with healthy tooth? It had been 36 hours since the extraction, yet the pain is still here. Is it normal? I'd had a bad fever too yesterday, could be due to change in season.
