wanna ask sifu here, is there any way to make a custom ringtone easier for iPhone? currently i'm using iTunes to do so, manually select the range of 30 sec and rename to m3r instate of m3a, is that the correct way?

Patience is a virtue

QUOTE(meebandong @ Dec 23 2014, 10:06 AM) how can this be? even ipad air 2 with much bigger screen has no lag. totally unacceptable for a premium product. if steve jobs still around, all these clowns would've been fired. Yes and it even crashes very often as well! Please don't get the iPhone 6+ Also don't bug the shops for stock. That way the rest of the folks can get one

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Dec 22 2014, 11:36 PM) Nope, I always close my apps. If you compare a stock 6 and 6+, you will get what I mean. The 6+ is indeed slower by a small notch. That is correct. I have both the 6 and 6 Plus and I can vouch that the 6 has better fluidity compared to the plus but the difference is not that big. QUOTE(ccy1989 @ Dec 23 2014, 11:11 AM) That is because: iPad air 2 is using A8X processor while iPhone 6/6+ is only using A8 processor. Dont forget it is the 2GB ram versus 1GB ram which makes the difference. This post has been edited by TOMEI-R: Dec 23 2014, 12:37 PM

Any tweaks or optimization that can help improve speed? If it's already a little sluggish now, I'm sure it's pretty much screwed if we upgrade to iOS 9 in future.

My fren ordered 1 unit from apple online store, then the unit came 1 day later. Bought powersupport air jacket. Then installed, i felt that the casing is loose. Then i tot is the casing lousy.. i open out then i put on flat surface.. the phone is rocking lolz.. now he is trying to get it replaced but they ask him to call apple damansara but they like very busy or no ppl picking up the phone. i asked him to ask apple online chat to open a case ID, so it has to be closed and get tracking.

If it's already a little sluggish now, I'm sure it's pretty much screwed if we upgrade to iOS 9 in future. It's the problem with optimisation in itself... iOS 5 was sluggished, but iOS 6 was a relief on the same hardware at that time (barring the marred launch of Apple Maps). Apple is trying hard to achieve the balance between performance (especially battery) and form factor (thinness), and right now iOS 8 is not optimised... At least not yet... But then again whether or not they can optimised it at the end of the iOS 8 cycle is beyond us since SJ is in his grave now... Nobody in Apple give a damn about perfectionism anymore... And Apple is well known for "planned obsolescence" of their hardware, so don't think your iPhone can last more than 3 years with all those upgrades. It's gonna get slower and slower with each upgrades... This post has been edited by Eithanius: Dec 23 2014, 04:19 PM

It's gonna get slower and slower with each upgrades... I think iOS optimization is another issue altogether. I'm running iOS 8.1 on both 6 and 6+ but the 6+ is abit sluggish sometimes, that was my point. Even when I flip the phone from portrait to landscape as I type this post, it's not smooth as the 6 Anyone with a good jailbreak tweak to improve performance please share?

Seem like 6 give a better performance than 6+ with exception of battery life and more lag-free. Which mean 6 gives a better future proof than 6+?

Maybe the next version of iOS will be better optimized and both phones will perform equally well, or maybe it'll be a turd and make both phones slow as Windows Vista on a first-gen Pentium. Or maybe Tim Cook will put Dr. Dre in-charge of QC and everything will turn to sh*t just like the sound from Beats headphones.

Buy Springtomize 3 and reduce the animation speed?
