any idea what is the brand of airbag our preve is using? Takata seems to be a problem now as a lot of car brands being recalled for its airbags.

hi guys~~

tomorrow i will be be claiming the warranty for my engine mounting~~expecting some significant improvement~~currently the vibration is very noticeable as compared to when i first get my car~~

Any other things did u guys claim warranty? (done with wire harness and light bulb [changed to Omron instead of Phillips])~~

Anyway one question~~did u guys service the air-cond before? How often do u guys service it~~based on my past experience~~some mention no matter what send it for service once a year (clean and top up the gas)~~some mention only when u feel not cold~~Please advice smile.gif

According to service schedule, air conditioning service is to be done every 30000KM. Compressor oil will be changed. Cabin air filter will be cleaned (which I already do myself). That's all.

The price is quite high. RM120 for this service, that only changes compressor oil. But I do it anyway.

Many advise to just let the aircon deteriorate until it ain't useful, then repair. It is indeed more cost effective.

What if we change the compressor oil at Aircond shop outside instead? Cheaper?

I just replace engine mounting on yesterday morning. Took 1 hour to replace this, and it’s foc for spare parts and installation.
Need 2 weeks to wait for spare part order.
I also claim for gear knob which broken, lucky that SC have stock for this part, so no need to wait.
Now I feel like my car is superb and no vibration. Thanks Proton.

Cheaper but you might lose your warranty rights if the compressor dies within next few years.

Thanks for the input..

sadly today when i reach the SS13 SC...they told me my appointment record is not found~~
really dont know how they record things wasted my time~~aihh~~luckily the lady is polite with good manners~~else i will shoot her in the face~~

Do you know it is merely a replacement of the "same" part or is it the improved version someone used to show here?

Aircon service is simple. Not much chance for anyone to screw up.

Just to make you feel better, while replacing the compressor oil, the refridgerant will deplete as well. So you'll be getting a new fresh refridgerant into your air conditioning as well. Hence RM120 for air con maintainance.

i tested the car before receive

not that slow as i expected before. it's quite smooth and cvt noise are minimal.

isit because i too used to myvi and saga blm?

hen .
That depends on how one drives the car n how well it is maintained.
Not necessary noises will come after 1000km
Our Preve hitting 18000 km n still as good as when it was new
One of my old car ( 19 year old ) with close to 200000km engine s as silent as when it is new. Car very well maintained n driven properly at all times. That car was the first Gen Cefiro with straight 6 cylinder engine. ALL parts faithfully replaced according to schedule even though it is still working well. We don't save on maintenance
