If oil can maintain upwards 54usd and nyse mostly green sure bursa continue tommorrow rally...However, the benchmark index has ended the week slightly lower at 1,715.99 points, down 17 points or 0.98% from last Friday’s closing of 1,732.99 points. Government-linked funds snap up blue-chip stocks. The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has bought stocks across various sectors, Bursa Malaysia filings showed.
On Tuesday, the fund bought 551,900 shares in AMMB Holdings Bhd, 100,000 in Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd (KLK), 1.29 million in IHH Healthcare Bhd, 1.25 million in Tenaga Nasional Bhd, 400,000 in Petronas Gas Bhd and 1.42 million in Telekom Malaysia Bhd. Besides the index-linked counters, the pension fund also acquired other stocks like IJM Corp Bhd, Alliance Financial Group Bhd, Gamuda Bhd, Pos Malaysia Bhd and Sunway Bhd. Interestingly, the fund also bought into a number of real estate investment trusts (Reits) like Axis REIT, Sunway REIT and Capitamalls Malaysia Trust (CMMT). |

I concluded my view points on the one who can sapu the money from stock market. Retail investors should have the competencies on,
1) Buy low. Prevent being trapped in your first buy. 2) Sell. Investment is not completed until you sell your share for profit. Share is designed to go up naturally, not go down. 3) Safeguard investment. Your money starts to be disappeared when you 'buy'... feed your remiser, security firm, government....many other reasons. Invest your 'time' to safeguard your money and wisely play on 'timing'. Retail investors have lack of resources (money compared to EPF and fund managers) and team (human resources to do a large amount of analysis, watch the market and network). Hard to influence the market with 'supply and demand'. Our secret weapon is 'time'. Compared to corcordiles, retail investor has advantages of time compared to the pressure of corcordiles to deliver. |

Understand the historic volatility of share price and make own prediction quantitatively. Decide market timing to buy with patient. All share is unique with different business nature. Financial analysis should be able to discover the cyclic low price. yup indeed time spent on it. but how long the time spent for how many percent profit? 10yrs for 5% annually? lol. Ask simple question, if u aim for 5% profit within T+3, who will buy your shares within 3 days to give you profit? |

Ask simple question, if u aim for 5% profit within T+3, who will buy your shares within 3 days to give you profit? If a company profit is ever increasing ,,then no need to buy at low price.....and FA should be used for the identification of earning vs price u pay for.. Low price u buy but Co could be heading towards a loss making year maybe like some O & G.stocks ..therefore not cheap at all.. On the other hand ..higher price u pay for ...cos u think the co profit could be double ..or 50% more in future..therefore making it relatively cheap in the future.. It comes down to your own judgments......i.e the ability to judge .. This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Dec 20 2014, 10:48 PM |

QUOTE(SKY 1809 @ Dec 20 2014, 10:29 PM) Value investing is an investment strategy to buy the share, which the value of a company (asset etc) are undervalued in the current share price. It is good to study the annual report of company, news and friends in the company. It is easier to evaluate a company in your industry and closely related industry. Risk is lower due to your understanding of their business nature.Share is unique and investor is also unique. Not all shares are suitable for all investors. |

Not all shares are suitable for all investors. " Financial analysis should be able to discover the cyclic low price" " 1) Buy low. Prevent being trapped in your first buy." An undervalued stock does not mean it is LOW Price.....it is the " Worth" of the money u pay for..... A Simple example is u pay rm one for the share..then your analysis shows the stock is worth rm 5..per share ...so in simple term it is undervalued..
