jaben now has some in stock........and they r going for 600+ if i not mistaken....
701 will able to perform well after 700 hours
at 700 hours u will reached 3rd quarter of the it's full potential
after that it jus mop up job u couldnt hear much of different at all

was considering to let go mine too...

Just purchased the K702 and is wondering my iBasso D2 Viper can drives this babe? Secondly, which headamp/dac is best for this headphone?

Me no audiophile and needs gurus here for inputs.

k702 is quite hard to drive..to me portable amp is totally no. if u want a headamp/dac combo..audio-gd compass quite good for a start.

hmm my iqube able to drive it .....but still not to my expectation yet......

haha..most high-end portable end can drive k702..without optimum sound..its better to have full blown desktop amp..like millet hybrid..to beta 22

my mhm also couldnt push the 3 cans to the stage i wanted back then......lol
and i modified the cables and maxed out the caps inside mhm but still ......average performance .....tubes rolling as well...
sold it and got ldmk4 se and got to 50% of my expectation....
well B22 came it hits my aim aledi ler....pure 100% of total expectation and only using single ended......except for my sens xlr which perform similar as the omegas

On the portie amp powering K701..is the matter of: is ur portie player THAT good? On my system, the lowly low-Q iPod is the scoundrel and not the portable amp.

Usually people use desktop amps to power K701..

most of the time portable amps not enough juice to power them. Of course, there are exceptions, but i still think desktop amps are the best to power them adequately.

lol u say ler....... waited for a 1 year for it and it is now on my desktop with xlr to my xindak dac 5 and pairing with my akg 701
still havent changed the cable yet but will soon.......beyer dt880 as well ...sen i aledi changed to xlr but i can only listen on occasion time.... the force and music is extremely deadly and poisonous.......i couldnt sleep for 3 days straight.......

i tried with heed canamp,stello hp,cayin hp 100
these 3 gave the best combination with akgs.....well i think no need to try any amp anymore since i got B22 aledi....
my iqube did a decent job on powering the akg and my beyers as well...that y i sticking to it and not letting it go...

more and more ppl gotten 702...envy...

but i still prefer 701's color ...and 700 hours more for me to burn mine ...everyday 1 hour= 700 days...haha, so i wont feel itchy to change my cup

To all Sifus, is my doge good enuf to drive 701? i read from head-fi and most comments sd doge is pretty ok for 701...
