apparently if u dare to take the dampers inside the drivers u can increase the bass on akgs

wow, are both the headphones yours? how does AKG 702 sound compare to AKG 701?

detachable mini xlr..easy to upgrade cable

at 1st my impression of akg 702 is new of out of the box
the high is horrendously harsh well compare to my 1200 hours burn in akg 701
mids is much more smoother and well the bass is improved but not as deep as i thought it will be... still bass shy....
i think need to burn in somemore for 100 hours so that high is much more crispy and less edging
as u c it has detachable xlr and the sponge cushion is very very good compare to the akg701
very comfortable i think they improved the seating to better quality...
overall i think it is much improvement to the previous model

i am pairing my akg 701 with doge 6210...burnt in less then 10 hours since bought last year, no time leave for my precious cup

well the akg 702 is out of the box fresh so the pads is very new and thicker than my overuse akg 701 .....
compared to my overabused akg 701 and burn at 1000 hours and finalised cooked with generator cooker and cables have been demagnitezed as well......
akg 702 at 1st impression as all akgs users know the mids to highs have annoying siblance and very harsh to hear.....at 1k hours i sure that it will outperform the akg 701 with much better mids and great separation still the bass well......

speaking of K701, i have one to let go. let me know if anybody is interested
