Hey one simple question....if the HR called after the interview to get some documentation that they didn't obtain during the interview,would they still say no ?

Reason cos economy is on recovery stage hence the companies that has "fired" all their staff will recruit again. So all the experienced auditors will make the first jump. As it is, half of my team gone in less than 6 months.

okay one week after the interview the HR called me up to ask me send her a scanned copy of my degree. The next day she called to ask me send her my scanned copy of ACCA transcripts. She hasn't called me back the next day(which is today) so i'm really down T_T

i still have one paper pending,7 mths working experience at a medium firm.
i think they might be already considering me but then they might not be satisfied with my ACCA results and they might be thinking that i should have gotten a promotion by now (appraisal coming soon....)
Ace i dunno how to cope with the wait...T_T they should have just sent me a rejection snail mail instead...

Hence the existence of the term 'opportunist'. Well, I heard stories that the upper management like to give bs excuses such as "you're not ready, you're not up to it' in order to withheld promotion. I know two seniors who are brilliant AA2s (i worked with them b4) and yet they remained as AA2 for almost two years after they join the firm. Rumours were that they were mistreated for one reason or another. One left end of last year and another is leaving this coming week. Sadly, they were nice guys too.

True, walking away is a must after failing to convince the partners to promote you, but as lowly AA2, the bargaining power is not as great as say, SA level or Assistant Manager. One of soon-to-leave managers advise me to use audit as a stepping stone and dun worry too much as an AA. Only when you are a SA, then you can start thinking about your future. But at this rate, I fear the dept might bungkus sooner rather than later

May i ask hows EY /PWC in terms of taking professional exam such as ACCA/CPA.

eg. How many years bond, how many days can take study leave.

Last i heard from KPMG, if you leave before the bond period, they will even ask you to compensate the days that you take study leave. is tat true??
