usually u just get a 2 channels amp bridged it to push the sub, either the amp rms power is same as the sub or slightly a lil bit more is good enough. All is up to your preference.

btw I am a newbie oni not seefu.

Cikai amplifier tak boleh pakai de. I using Debert amplifier. and wan to get MBQ 2channel amplifier.

Added on March 24, 2007, 10:13 pmI need to ask something. I using the 4 channel amplifier, 1 and 2 channel is front speaker, 3 and 4 channel is rear speaker. Now the setup is, bridge front speaker 1 channel for component set and rear speaker bridge for woofer. But, when in my HU, I use fade, but it nothing happen. Fade to front or rear also no different. I thought fade to front, only front speaker got sound and fade to back, only back speaker got sound?

your perception of fade is correct.. but the reason y it isn't working is bcz u've set up the amplifier wrongly.. is it ur idea 2 setup the system (the channel thing) urself o is it the installer d0es it? n if i'm n0t wr0ng.. u r listening ur audio in mono rather than stereo..

My installer help me do it. So how only set up will be better? What wrong with the setup? Can guide me? But now my system is stereo. Not only fade function, balance function also cannot work.

I using sony HU. Type S. I forget the model. The fella bridge into one channel said it more power to kick my woofer. Then he mai bridge lor. But the component set, I don't think is bridge to 1 channel and i also not so sure.Cause i still can listen stereo sound. Hehe.. I guess not bridge the component. What can i do so that i can use fade and balance function?

yes.. he is correct about bridging 2 channel into 1 channel is more powerful.. n this purpose onli serves to whack the woofers.. o from 4 channel to 2 channel 2 power the speakers..

u better check what is the setup first.. cz i thought u said it is bridged to 1 channel for the front speakers.. n also the HU.. by having the model number will let u know how many preout u haf..

n what do u mean wif "rear speaker bridge for woofer".. i don understand at all..

mean 3 and 4 channel is rear speaker. Then bridge 3 and 4 become 1 channel lor. I check jor. Front component set didn't bridge. only bridge for woofer.
the HU is sony s11s.

Just use the front speakers and one subwoofer good enough, the rear speakers throw away. Use the 2 channels of ur 4 channel sub to push the components, then use the balance 2 channels bridged it to mono and push the subwoofer. The fade no need to use becos u oni got front speakers. smile.gif

reduce the volume as easy as that. everyone is happy. smile.gif

If ur HU have a pre-out for subwoofer then u can reduce the gain of the subwoofer or switch it off also if u want, othwerwise u can't do anything except just reduce the volume.

If use 2 unit of amplifier can use fading? Cause i heard some people said that, use 2 amplifier can use fading. If really cannot, then i might getting a electronic crossover with sub volume control. Preamp don't have sub volume control rght?
