is swimming a requirement in a pilot??haha...coz i might need to learn if i'm gonna apply.....
and can anyone tell me wat medical knowledge is needed as i have read in the beginning of the starting post....tongue.gif

nah, not needed. Medical knowledge? I don't know anything about that, but I'm still able to enroll to a flying school continue with the training tongue.gif

Physics is important but not a must. Maybe if applying for airline sponsorship yes, since competition is really tough.

My friend(private) who was in Art Stream is now doing his training seems to be coping well smile.gif

Which airline your friend in ? If without physic, i think you can only enter private pilot class! Correct me if i'm wrong!

I used to think that. One of my friend who didnt do so well in physics just got in through determination.
I was also quite surprise.


Added on February 23, 2009, 5:26 pmi think attitude is the most important thing when come to become a pilot

He's still in training course and doing it privately. He already has his PPL, passed all his CPL papers and finishing up his ATPL papers. He's currently flying for CPL now.

Flying schools requirements are very much lower than airline cadets
Here is one of the requirements to enroll into a flying school taken from my e-mail

pilot n steward/stewardress nid to hav good eye sight rite, bt im short sighted wif bout 500 degree, if i go laser, will i eligible to work in such jobs?
wat does 6/9 eye sight stands for??
air steward cn work at most hw many yrs? n their salary hw much per month?

oh.....ok...i'm thinking of applying for it after my engineering course.....wat r the chances of me getting in???should i jsut apply 1st or wait 4 the intake huh?????air asia or mas better???i heard MAS a bit....'pilih kasih'...lolx...

You want to be pilot after your course, right ? You can try SIA.

SIA huh.....i have a fren who's working there...say there not good....flight hours 4 us malaysians who's not SG citizens is very very little.......n he jumped from airasia to SIA....now wan jump back.......

just getting my approval letter from dca today.. im will apply at hma.. then want to ask after getting cpl/ir.. can i getting a job at any airline???

you actually graduate with a Frozen ATPL. and yeah, you can apply for a job after you graduate
