NFC is Near Field Communication that is located on your battery. And it is not for Qi charging... but a short range wireless communication as the name indicates.

i know what NFC is. just wonder why is it at the battery but not the phone itself. hmm.gif

Battery is worse than GSMarena's review. I think i should do a fresh start tomorrow because unplug from charger at 8.15am, now left 58% at 1.23pm with 1h 46m SoT.  blink.gif
The unit i borrowed is from Sprint, so the LTE is locked to CDMA only. That means i only have 3G working.

Thanks bro. That's reassuring to know for us Exynos users. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(thelightside @ Nov 27 2014, 01:33 PM)
That is because of the qhd...all qhd device like the nexus 6 will hav these problem...by all accounts gaming performance is better on the exynos while some game do lag but both sd and exynos will lag due to qhd...as for batt life I do find that its better then my note3 if ure not getting good bad life try disabling all app u dun use...

Batt life diff between exynos and sd nobody know not tested yet but many hav reported gamming performance better on the exynos
*
This also correct. LG G3 with QHD also has laggy interface. nod.gif

QUOTE(Xander-G @ Nov 27 2014, 02:23 PM)
I find that Note 4 is every way better than the iPhone 6 Plus. While the S Pen is the added advantage for the Note 4, it seems useless with the laggy issue. How do we overcome this? Why cant Note 4 be as smooth as the iPhone 6 Plus?
*
U referring to S Note right? So far when using Screen Write with S Pen on Note 4, I did not experience any lag, but the S Note app is really poorly made. Just to open one Note(book) and flipping pages in the app has considerable amount of delay. Makes taking notes such a chore and not practical for quick note taking.

Beats me... I was having that same question with the S4 as well why the NFC on the battery. If it's on the handset itself, using 3rd party batteries won't lose this feature.

Last time most of the user after change the cover then realize NFC not working so they switch NFC chips from back cover to battery cause not all user change battery quicker than cover.

I was reading some other forums online trying to find a bit more of the NFC on the battery. Apparently the NFC antenna is built into the battery where else the tech or chip is on the phone itself. Someone has comment about being better and have wider area where the battery sits.

Ic ok... sounds more sense.

One thing I notice for S4 & N4 the NFC area is in the middle to lower back part of the phone while the N2 sit quite high up on the back.

Laggy animation and Gaming issue is present on Exynos too as I have personally experienced. Cause when comparing with Nexus 5, Nexus 5 is way smoother despite only S800 chipset.

The only way for proper comparison is to check Exynos and S805 side by side.
*
Ya it still there but much better than S805.

Nexus series don't compare, it is pure smooth all the while.

You need root and try using this : APP MultiWindows app . Had never tried this before as since my phone also rooted, I use Wannam Xposed as such options available there too
Or google for such mods at forum XDA ( again you need root)

This article is clearly one sided. Truth be told, the iPhone 6 battery is among the best. No doubt you can go full without any problem.
