Hye All..

Want to ask.. Is there any effect if we go inside the car then start the engine directly without push the start button first to display engine indicator in the morning?
*
Yup there's 3 stages for the button. Press once can enable the radio, USB, Bluetooth and power socket to function I think. Press twice dashboard lights come on, windows can be winded up and down and side mirrors can be retracted or adjusted, and wipers function too if I'm not mistaken. Third press all switched off again tongue.gif

someone explain before.

I think what he meant is the Press-Brake-To-Lock, which is a very useful stock feature found in MyVI.
Press the brake, and doors will lock. If I brake, unlock doors manually, let go of brake, then brake again, doors will auto-lock again, all while engine is still running.

This is unlike City plug-n-play OBD that will lock doors either shift to D or speed-type. But when doors are unlock manually, OBD will not lock doors again unless engine is restarted.

what you were talking about, are 2 different thing,

OBD lock, a module that enables autolock,
2 kinds, shift to D, door lock, shift back to P, unlock
another 1 is when you reach a certain speed, the doors will be lock

Pedal lock, you pull up the handle to lock the brake pedal, not the whole car (you can still open the door), if it's locked, you won't be able to start the car, for key car, can't start because there's relay, for keyless, car can't start because the brake pedal is lock

both can be install on the same car, because it's installed at different place

I'm not sure what is the right way.

But my practice is press the start button "twice" in the morning. Let the engine indicator displayed and then start the engine after 1-2 mins. Only do this in the morning. rolleyes.gif

Maybe we can wait sifu here to explain what is the correct way with Push start button. hmm.gif

Hi Robertt,

Is this essentially removing the bulb within the enclosure and just swapping the LED pieces in? Mind sharing with us the link to purchase the trunk LED light?

Many thanks.
*
Yup, just remove the original bulb and swap in the LED pieces. The shape of the LED module will firmly fit inside the case.

Those LED I purchased from eBay as well. Heres the link

not sure if there's an obd that will function like that, so far, have only heard 2 type, with the gear type, one can just simply shift the gear to P, and back to D, then, it'll lock the door, even if you unlock it manually, i have that on my car, lol

Changed the underdash light to white LED. Make it look full white from along the air-con touch panel. brows.gif

Just press brake n start. Nothing to worry.
For cat with key, u also turn to start although u go through Acc, On, start.

When engine on, pressing start button will off engine. Same goes to car with key, u turn the key also off no matter your car is moving or not.

Don't think too much. Just drive.

Honda is not Potong. Nothing to worry.... tongue.gif

Btw, here's my 10k 2nd service today (at about 4.k km mileage).

SC tries to sell all sorts of things to my waifu, air cond filter lah, dunno what glossy wash lah (> RM100!!!) blah. All rejected by waifu (not free today to help her send car to SC).

This is the damage:
