i just dumped maxis wireless last friday. went to the centre and gave back everything. just fill up the form and they will return the cheque in a month time or so. opted for izzinet and its way more flexible in term of subscription period, not tied up for 18 months like maxis. Speed wise more reliable compared to maxis. Anyway all this speed thingie depends on area i guess. just pray that you are the lucky one. Trust me i've been suffering for almost a week using maxis. glad that's over.

Calm down ?..LYN loads ages and my signal is good...What more do they want ?...Seriously , maxis come and fix it and PLEASE PUT in your site that YOU ARE FIXING. I love JARING for one thing , they put everything in advanced and their technical team are soo organised.

I am going to ditch this very soon...and who knows..try izzi for a change..Maybe not..Well...I'll wait and see

Oh by the way your latency is also very poor. The latency should be ~100ms-200ms for HSDPA (for local links). Beyond that shows that your coverage zone is poor or Maxis is doing something. In this case , maxis is doing somethign or they can't able to cater enough users.

well if you have those credit card mentioned on their website, you can have easy repayment in 12 installments, which in my case (izziyou package) every month my credit card will be billed RM 104. i got to wait n see my first bill comes in to confirm everything. if you wan to know more about other users feedback on the service you can check out this thread http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=485919

Added on October 7, 2007, 11:38 pmHonestly, I feel so so so sicked with Maxis already. They upgrading / fixing / watever shit should let the customer know about it rite. We don't have any information on when Maxis will fixed the damn line.

i guess maxis is giving bandwidth priority to their maxis 3G connect hence throttling their standard wireless broadband. Just my assumptions.

wow with this kind of reviews percolating on the net, it does not augur well for Maxis one way or another.

Hope they do some damage control before customers put a 'lousy' tag on maxis broadband.

im maxis broadband user too since march...
power package..before this, UMTS connection is suffiecient for normal surfing,
but nowadays, my modem won't connect to UMTS..
whenever the connection is UMTS, it will show there Not connect.
but the internet can only be used if the connection is either EDGE or HSDPA...

right now it is always HSDPA (luckily i found the best spot to put the modem, if not always EDGE)...

my friend here use the usb modem, can reach about 1.2mbps..

i wonder, if i use the usb modem, izzit any way i can share the connection with another pc? izzit only using ICS??
