I think as you select the model that you want, Apple Store will tell you what is the estimated shipping date - and based on what we've seen so far, normally they deliver earlier than promised.

I bought it at an introductory rate of USD 19.99 when it was first launched. This was before the existence of Waze. Please be aware that the file size is about 1GB and updates are slow to come. If anything, Waze is better and more accurate, although Garmin runs without a data connection.
*
Yeah the size is quite big. As for the updates, bear in mind that the normal GPS also gets only 4 updates yearly, hence the map name 2014.10 2014.20 2014.30 and 2014.40

That's exactly my gripe with Garmin. I have a nuvi 40LM in my car, and the map updates are pretty on time every quarter smile.gif

I don't have this problem but another one. This happened in another my other iPhone as well.

I can't shut down Waze from within the app.

I don't think there's a way to "close and exit" an app from within iOS. When you get to that screen just go to multitask view and swipe it up to close Waze.

I would say its a bug affecting waze. It was like that since ios 8.02 and it would continue to run in the background while your location will continue to run in the background too. You will see the arrow sign next to the battery even when you turn off waze and puts the phone to sleep. Restarting your phone also wont stop it from running at the background and draining your battery. Only way is to stop it fron running is you have to stop the navigation and exit the app itself.
