QUOTE(titansulcata @ Oct 12 2006, 02:27 PM) just want to share some experience with u guys... Yah, I also notice that too. My star will eat more when I on his basking light during the mornings when he has his meal heheheh... they like heat. But if I sun him, he likes to stay in the shade. After few weeks of monitoring, i've noticed that my tortoise appetite is usually much better in warmer condition if i only on my uvb lamp which isn't warm, 27c to 28c, their appetite is slow and they are less active. Especially in morning, it will take some time before they will eat if i on my basking lamp, and temp is around 29c to 31c, even in early morning or evening, their appetite is super. They are also more active |

QUOTE(titansulcata @ Oct 12 2006, 08:16 PM) Guys, i just went to pet safari. Not many new hatchling... the same since last visit (except all hatchling sulcata and star sold out), but... The small radiated gone? I went there last Saturday.... saw a radiated with "cat-eye" markings... then a small lonely star hatchling...They have lots of new juvenile & adults like: 1x pig nose 1x ally (rm450) - around 18 cm 5x sulcata - around 30cm 2x unknown really a beauty, they put all the big tortoise at the entrance of the exotic section worth a visit |

Star tortoise won't be a good pet for you since your room is air cond and tortoises very sensitive to cold.
