Its better to use the old method and safe the animals later. If we use straight from tap water, the chlorine level and ph level is not suitable for most aquatic animals.
RES is another story, they are very hardy.
I think its situated at Taman Desa Waterpark there.  laugh.gif
*
opps, i left out one important item. is the tap water safe for my box turtle and RES?
for my fish of course no compromy la still have to use aged, salted dechlorinated water. but what about for my turtles?

QUOTE(BillyJoe2212 @ Nov 18 2006, 01:48 PM)
I just got back from Taman Desa Aquarium, all they had was a common snapper.....still no Ally Snapper *sigh* cry.gif
They guy told me to call and check on Thursday...so I suppose I'll just wait.
*
herm, maybe sold out already. call first before going back. because sometimes the suppliers dont supply on time

QUOTE(LEVIATHAN @ Nov 19 2006, 06:01 PM)
how much a 120-gallon tank will cost me? i think i will buy a bigger tank, but only after i know the price. sapa tau?
edit: oh and what will be the dimension? as a 15-gallon comes with 2 kaki lebar, 1 kaki panjang, 1 kaki tinggi.
edit2: oh the dim can be seen here

so what is the price for a 120-gallon?

*
i think at jalan pasar they sell cheap aquariums

wahh...mwtang, still not enough huh? smile.gif Bravo! You dont like Leopard Tortoise or Spider Tortoise? Since i didnt see you list it in your wish list smile.gif

Anyway i think its always best to separate every each species no?...thats what i read from most caresheets and guidelines except for some Cooters or Sliders species...dont know for sure myself though.

But if you are eyeing Pancake tortoise or Radiated tortoise, your budget should be sufficient for a Leopard tortoise right? I thought they are cheaper then the two said earlier? Anyway all of them are interesting tortoise so whatever your choice maybe, it will not be wrong. Just share pictures with us when you got them.

Tanks doesnt cost you much i believe...satu kaca 3 kaki maybe RM50? tongue.gif Anyway do they all share the same bedding or different? Like Sulcata, CheerHead, Radiated etc....

Kamekame.

p/s i wish i have the money for Radiated tongue.gif

a customized tank is much more expensive. for the same dimension of a standard 3 feet aquarium, buying ready made is much more cheaper than custom made from glass shop (this is told by the glass shop owners themselves).
i once bought a ready made 3 feet tank, than sent to glass shop to modify and create a basking area for my malayan box. even that cost me an extra RM40

so its not really saving up money, well unless you customize yourself la and dont use glass

Depends on their needs. Mostly, the star needs to be separated coz they are prone to desease by other subspecies even in the Geochelone family. Other are okay to be mixed.

Yeah, Leopard Tortoise is cheaper compared to Radiated.

About the tank , getting it from small shops are better since they are cheaper. Nevertheless u need to scout around and see which one gives u the best price.
