Have you tried with another adapter and cable? How about restoring the phone? Apple has a policy to exchange for a new unit if its DOA and I think Maxis has to follow Apple policy before they can sell their products?

Get the replacement unit, they are new and not refurbished (too early!) i got one replaced previously for 5s. They came in brown box with only the phone. They are used for fast swap if sold unit is faulty. You can google up from macrumour forum on this.

Its a standard Apple replacement method and they come with unique replacement IMEI compared the refurbished IMEI. Otherwise they are identical to new set.

Aiyo you big boy already go google up la on replacement unit. They are all new units. Its a standard procedure for each delivery to have certain percentage (can't remember) are replacement units because faulty phones sure got for such big shipment.

And simple common sense tell you if you are Apple, wouldn't it be easier to minimize the hassle of changing only the phone part instead of the whole box, manual, EarPods charger etc. thats why the replacement packaging is minimal to reduce friction. My 5s works with zero problem till today.

If i am you i ll go swap quickly before replacement units also habis and have to wait again!

same as me, but today MOS call me the iphone need 7-14 days deliver. i told her i not in MY by next week. She cal BS whether can make it or not, i inform no matter how pls return call to me whether can be done. So far no return call at, by tomorrow im going call them again, if i cannot get the unit by monday im going cancel order, and go the Maybank event, got RM300 rebate further more can EPP

I queued since Ip5. Reached there 7pm. Was the earlier 30 I guess. Knew there was limited stock but was surprised that can buy outright for the 2nd phone. By the time I went home at 2am, a lot people can't get the phone by its colour or size then before sun rise, stock out. I skipped 5s on launching. But my experience told me, if you want to get the phone fast (not dark side), u must choose the guaranteed route. For this year launch is self collection as no guarantee on midnight express. Didn't get to order in the midnight crazy rush. Left my phone no at the website. After work on the same day, 31st at 11 pm, try luck. Surprise can prepare order, payment all OK self collection as well. Otherwise might not order. Next noon, phone call rejected cause ordered. Following day, same thing rejected. Then come the system bug. Self collection changed to house delivery no consent. Chat with live maxis, said don't bother follow original mail. Some forumers confirmed as well. Next, reached Klcc 7pm. Received both sms and email said delivery on the way to house. So, house or Klcc? Kept cool. Checked with front desk Klcc said confirmed my phone self collection but 2nd batch 12.30am but why? Anyway since sure can collect then Makan-Makan. After that straight go to check out the queue. Didn't know queue started but then was chased out when actual store close time reached. Was the first 25 (ignored the 2nd batch msg which is for crowd control for maxis only). By half an hour after 12am, got phone and casing. Before 1am reached home. My advice if we want to die die among the 1st to get iPhone during local launch with discount and preferred telco network:

1) for pre-order; prepared earlier try and try till can. Forget about the bug and glitches. Rem your main and only objective die die want to get. If can take leave and try till u can.
2) order confirmation - only choose self-collect. Nothing else guarantees. if the email is the same as per your order that should be final. Don't let the subsequent mail to affect u unless u can't collect at the end, the very end.

That's my mantra if you really want to get it. If you are C customer then only 1 advise for this launch. Queue early if can take leave and queue as early as allowed. A cheap price and a guaranteed phone-what makes u more happy?
