Keep the poison strong! That however subjected to keeping ur wheels from potholes. Have seen several fake TE37 7 spoke version crashed into billion pieces. So far hasn't heard of fake TE37 original 6 spoke design crack, but weight issue & soft like tofu. Went through speed bumbs ady became duck egg laugh.gif

Quazacolt remember once told u a sohem paid a bomb bought ori TE37 from japorn, CNC drilled it to 4 hub PCD114.3 to fit into his junkyard version of old GaGa? laugh.gif Last weekend I went back ipork, found my brother oso CNC drilled his watanabe magnesium banana rims to PCD100 to fit his BiBa doh.gif WTF is wrong wt these pipu shakehead.gif

Road legal? Got no plate lagi. sleep.gif
*
It is legal"isable" in other cuntries. The oni plobrem boils down to how government & insurer handle it. Mighty Car Mods Australia for instance, proudly supported by JUST CAR INSURANCE. All of their vehicles are legalized & certified road worthy. Some of the episode u may not find it interesting, as they restore old junk cars, covering how to DIY fix it(gotta understand oversea cuntry labor charges r intensive), send it to their own respective PUSPAKOM over & over again just to be sure the car is roadworthy before obtain insurance.

They have 1 day insurance for scrapped cars to be legalize to drive from junkyard back to garage/workshop. They have special insurance for heavily modified yet roadworthy cars. There's reasons for us to understand how their old JDMs/Koreans CBU become so cheap(talking about hundred dollars deal), simply bcoz maintenance is way too expansive & pipu wonbother to fix them up. Hence if u r a DIY guy, yes u get great deals! And its LEGAL!

QUOTE(wankel @ Dec 9 2014, 08:37 AM)
Brake pad experiment.
According to the Bendix catalogue DB1748 pads are indicated for the FLX but these are wickedly expensive in Australia so I looked into alternatives and on a whim ordered a cheap set of Protek DB1725 pads which have the bonus of being a very pretty blue.
What is a curiosity is a screamer tang is indicated for the DB1748 yet the original pads lack it, perhaps Proton cost cutting for the Australian market, a market which I've noted has a history of choosing variants of asian models that have the biggest engine but the lowest tech possible in most areas, possibly due to service people here being very good at lifting heavy things but turning into startled rabbits when seeing new technology.
Anyway these rather identical pads fit a Daewoo Kalos of a 2005-2009 vintage.
I hope they're nice and gentle on the rotors but I suspect the composition is much the same as the original, but they were less than half the price of the DB1748 and are a lovely blue.

To change pads all we need is a number 14 spanner.
*
Dude! That blue color pads look sick freakishly good! Report back on disc friendly in few weeks please rclxms.gif Regarding price tags, we don't get any cheaper than BOSCH OEM or Plotong original. Believe that DAEWOO compatible could have cost a bomb here doh.gif Mind u packaging is utmost important in my cuntry. As long its bluish & looks good, its consider performance rated part whistling.gif 1 can get an original pad, powder coat it RED & sell it as BREMBO pads here whistling.gif

Look carefully, the entire undercarriage is not even meant for sedans. It seems like either the owner too damn rich, baught a GaGa & shell it on a 4x4 or the GaGa has an engine blew which replacement engine will cost the car laugh.gif no choice die die go get an old hilux & shell the GaGa on it laugh.gif

Mine manual. Going to have the 30k major service. But not at potong...

Going to try out the Bosch Service Center here in JB.

Guys esp sife davidke20

What needs to be done on the 30K major service?
*
U ask someone like me who dun gibapuk about regular maintenance? blink.gif My usual service routine as below:

5000km for any engine oil below RM100(usuallly mineral oil/semi synthetics, and include tesco fully synthetic oil)
5000km for any oil filter
5000km to blow paper cabin filter and wash pollen filter, had the paper filter changed if too dark
1 year brake fluid checking(oxidization dip test only, not change. Usually take like 5 years before the damn thing oxidize. Otherwise after 2 or 3 years when I see the fluid dark enough and got particle floating then will get it changed even not oxidize)
80000km timing belt change (usually will drag until near to 100000km)
Transmission fluid - usually every year if I remember, otherwise after 4 or 5 times engine oil change will do once(still, subject to whether I remember or not)
FEAD belt - upon inspection(now already cracked, probably gonna change it together with timing belt this few days)
Fuel filter/sepakberak - until car start to jerk then only decide

Basically I practice breakdown adhoc service rather than preventive blink.gif It's a crap car anyways blink.gif If I bai VIOS/YARIS then different story. Every 1000km change engine oil, transmission oil, timing chain, top gasket, exhaust catalyst, element filter. Keep the car up on par like new so I can sell the car higher price than new car flex.gif

Eh i also now use 3max capalanged together with ultra cacing ok.... flex.gif
*
Plonk UlarCacing rear lower bar! Guding to the max yo. Especially for wider tayar such as 195 or 205 series damn cun. Dunno huai the car bcum extremely grippy. That however, doesn't change the fact of crap tayar will breakway much earlier lah. So CibaiStone M5 can't do. It enhance the grip at much earlier stage of cornering even before start to input pedal the car ady stabilized & ready to accelerate! Bad thing is, if use 165 tayar like mine, due to chasis rigidity, rain time the car unable to perform well, easily get drift doh.gif Lastaim when I was 195 no such issue geh.

On top of all those, the best part is CHEAP. Got my good deal from kennywee92, may wanna consult him if u r keen and to arrange pickup whenever u cum over KL brows.gif

Wah got new idea ahh...

Can think about it. You got pix? As of now the front Ular strut and rear 3mex set up gooding for taking full 360 degree turn on EDL exits... damn shiok wo. No need brake brake, get correct speed, angle can speed through the whole corner, eating up any god cars on the way..

Anyways, i still on 185/60s. 165 too thin lo... last time my Tiara use 165/60R13s. For Tiara can la...
*
Well, its never too thin or too wide. Depending on user preference nia whistling.gif I dare u with my 165/50R14 with my Shawie. Also e-lite is using 165/50R15, clocked 1'00'00 sharp at elitespeedway whistling.gif

Mine, less than 1 year sad.gif Probably due to lack of maintenance. However, the original blade of my BLM was later inherited by my Shawie, lasted until TODAY since March, 2012(wouldn't know how long it was on the BLM before I got the car) wub.gif
