Details of the complaint :

Introduction - Bought 3 Units of Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E440 from devour. Paid extra for each to get extra 3 Years ONSITE warranty.

The Start & The Horror - One of the laptop encountered a screen issue in mid June, PF0112KS, without suspecting anything amiss, we called Lenovo support to lodge a fault case, was informed to send in for repair as our warranty is only 1 year based warranty.

The Revelation - Upon realizing that, we quickly go online to search for warranty status of all 3 machines, to our horror, all 3 units show the 1 year base warranty only.

The roundabout - Quickly contacted Devour to find out why and was given reason that Lenovo is slow, etc etc. After pushing him for 2 weeks as we need to get onsite support for the faulty laptop (extended warranty we already paid!), finally he helped to register extra 3 years onsite for the first machine. Asked him about how about the other 2 units, he promised it will be settled within next week. This goes on and on for another 3 weeks, yet the other 2 units still not yet registered with new upgrade warranty, we were tired of this roundabout of excuses and delays and choose to give it a rest for a while hoping that the resolution will come soon.

The Bad Omen - Not sure whether we are unlucky or the machines are shite in quality, a second unit of laptop also broke down with screen fault issue in early August. Went online to check if the warranty has been upgraded or not. Baaaam, it was not!! So is the other unit. Getting really upset with this, called Devour and asked him, and was given same dog shit reasons and excuses again. Pushed him to settle the warranty status for the remaining 2 units, after much hassle, he only managed to register warranty for the one with fault. That was in early September.

The Houdini Act - With 1 unit of laptop still with its PAID upgraded warranty not registered by Devour since May. We wanted this to be resolved asap. Devour started to avoid picking up call, not returning call or sms and even blocking us on Whatsapp and facebook. There were few times where we caught him off guard by calling him using not the normal numbers and he give the usual dog shite excuses like he is overseas la, he is on vacation la, by the look of things he is on vacation half of the year! Not that it is a problem, but at least be responsible with his business and your customers money.


Let this be a warning to all people who even think of dealing with this habitual liar. If you are lucky, u get your goods, if u are unlucky, you lose your money, why take risks? Bring your business elsewhere.

the machine purchase by TS has been updated the warranty for 2 units, currently our boss oversea, the last unit should in done in the progress,in mean while we had conversation with TS about his unhappy and request his bank info for refund due to his angry, however TS refuse to solve it. suggest TS put ur company bank in detail here for refund progress if he think he has been cheat for rm 3xx.00 , once done transfer we will provide cap screen here.

Its unfair for ts since his laptop spoilt when he should be able to claim warranty to repair it. Sue to your shiity business attitude,ts is unable to claim the warranty and you only refunded the cost for purchasing the extended warranty. That means ts still on the lost,he had to fork out a sum of money to get the payy repaired. By right,ts shouldnt have any problem if you had done the extended warranty for him earlier.
If the laptop not yet spoilt,refunding the extended warranty money sounds fine but in this case the laptop already spoilt. IMO,you should refund repair cost+warranty money. This is your fault not ts.

The cases keep repeating & almost all of it involve on extended warranty.

Gamble his own luck on warranty I guess...no faulty machine no claim from customers.

Devour has been dodging my messages as well regarding extended warranty.

I paid for the extended warranty in March, till today, i havent obtained anything, all he's been doing is dodging my messages.

What do i do?

1) They forgot to register it and now problem with manufacturer due to late
2) Purposely sell warranty for extra profit but now kantoi

There is no such thing go oversea cannot monitoring job. I also travelling around with laptop and wifi is everywhere!
Another thing is....Oversea...well known excuses for buying time tongue.gif

Solution:
1) Kasi penampo / pijak ramai-ramai
2) Baling cat
3) GO TO TRIBUNAL

He seemed like a good guy.
My laptop I didn't take extended warranty.

Since I was satisfied with the price, I recommended to my gf to buy a laptop from him too.
She took the extended warranty. Both of us tried contacting him many times afterwards since she told me he didn't update the warranty status on her laptop, but he kept giving excuses and we just gave up chasing him - as it's quite obvious that he's not bothered unless there's a fault with the laptop.

Even if he did register the extended warranty, by now sure finish already. Both laptops are fine, that's why I didn't say much.
But knowing that he did this same nonsense to others too, that's why I'm speaking out. I wonder how many others fell for his "extended warranty" bullshit.

Hi seager, when was the last time you contact us? in one day we had a lot of dealing, we may handle with unperfectly , if the warranty extend did not meet your ordered, you can contact us again 0123324420 (whatsapp ) , as i mention to you before all the request about the updating date of purchase is done by lenovo hq after we submitted to them, the period how long they done its out of our range, if buyer found out such delay, should let us know as soon and we will see what has happening, some buyer cant accept, we will refund them as we may not able complete the task, hope this clarify for you. Hi seager, when was the last time you contact us?  in one day we had a lot of dealing, we may handle with unperfectly , if the warranty extend did not meet your ordered, you can contact us again 0123324420 (whatsapp ) , as i mention to you before all the request about the updating date of purchase is done by lenovo hq after we submitted to them, the period how long they done its out of our range, if buyer found out such delay, should let us know as soon and we will see what has happening, some buyer cant accept,  we will refund them as we may not able complete the task, hope this clarify for you. As I previously mentioned, I did not make a big fuss because the laptops worked fine and still are working find after the warranty and "extended warranty" period. IINM, the warranty should have expired for my laptop in 2012/2013 and for my gf the warranty should have expired on 2014. Given the fact that we faced no problems with the laptop, we decided not to continuously bug you on a frequent bases - unless if the unit was to breakdown, which it didn't.

However, given the fact that you did not only do this with me, but also with many more - hence I decided to voice out my dissatisfaction. Your constant "tomorrow, next week, I will follow up, in the process" doesn't mean much to most of us here after knowing your operation methods. I have purchased many other branded items, some with extended warranty as well - and none of those face major delays as per your case. I'm not saying that you pocketed the funds, but given the fact that you give zero explanation and zero proof with evidence (of delay from Lenovo's end) does indeed sound very fishy indeed.

What's the procedure like to extend warranty? Why does it take so long? If the process documented? I believe in dealing with a well known brand like Lenovo, there should be documentation involved. So is there any? Any legitimate responses from Lenovo to explain the delay from their end (as you claim)? If yes, why do you not share this documentation with your customers?

Hi Seager, yes, thats some procedure or ecard involved, usually the delay happened if the unit come with std one year warranty, but they offer for certain country 2 year, but buyer need extend to 3 years totally. In the system , initially they will only stated out one year with outdated starting date.hence the correction or amend should done by few party involved distributor, Malaysia hq, global hq and regional. As per stated, we shall not disclose p&c document s here.

For your info, the link you quote , 7 totally which u mention active complain , 5 of them has solved and the TS has closed the topic, ,u can pm them to check, we do have black and white bank slip, contract of it, 1 of from 7, the TS has informed to collect the refunded from us, 1 of from 7, the TS cant accept the black and white agreement that he had sign which out of our control.

We do notice some buyer will quote those link case to legitimate their over demand on the order, we try our best to solve it but its public forum, in generally, buyer will be threatened us if we not follow what they want , they will post bad about us in everywhere . Very simple example, one buyer order one stuff which we informed him its gonna take 5 weeks at least, in 4th weeks, he ask refund as he found other offer cheaper, if we refuse, he will threaten us post bad here, if we agree , we need bear all the costing, if you were us, what you do ? Most seller will take the deficit to protect their reputation, but we don't. Thats the problem, haha

U met me before, we are small business, what ever business ordered we also accept, hence , at the end, ,1000 order must have 5- 8 bad Apple, like big company maxis, tm, I believe u could see so many complain against them. But I not saying I was perfect seller or can compare with them, what I try to said its if we make mistakes, we will try solve , if we can't,buyer not accept solution, we have to accept. Whatever buyer called us like scammer, idot, worst fuck word also came out, we also no reply such rudely.

With regards to all these cases, open or closed.. Why have you never provided a direct response from Lenovo to your buyer with regards to slow update of warranty extension?
Any legitimate responses from Lenovo to explain the delay from their end (as you claim)? If yes, why do you not share this documentation with your customers?

Are u a seller? Some buyer they want cash, if u pay them cash, u may ask them sign paper stated accepted. Else , u will risk your self in future, we had encountered it =)

looks like frixfox is basically doing daylight robbery, and why isn't the business owner caught yet?

selling warranty and then never actually purchase any warranty from the distributor, all just promise on their receipt. and further more scam money on RMA/repair which is all also based only on their receipt.
