I'm short 195 SPY PUT expiring tomorrow.
Just -5 pts from here.... it can happen pretty quick if bears get mad. sweat.gif

looks like its trading below 2000, fail to break above 2000 on previous try. But still too early to say though.
btw, i've noticed that you're mostly selling options. Dun mind if i ask, you're selling them naked or covered?

Close my second round of SPY PUTs, having some good trades this week icon_rolleyes.gif

Puts can sell naked (must have enough in Margin account) but Calls must sell covered.

Can any expert explain briefly what's this 3-year-old-cap that Swiss removed? What was that? Was it some sort of breaking the link between its currency and Euro currency? Thank you! notworthy.gif

In Europe, the franc jumped almost 30 percent in the chaotic minutes after the Swiss National Bank stunned markets by lifting a 1.20-per-euro cap that was created in 2011 to avert deflation at the height of the euro zone crisis.

yes, Swiss currency is getting stronger and stronger by the years that it is not good for their exports
3 years ago the swiss bank capped their currency against the Euro at 1.2 due and now they removed it. Why they remove it....
my guess is.....EU QE is coming brows.gif
so expect the Euro to dive further down

my 2 cents, apparently SNB found it too costly to defend the peg (or is expecting further deflationary pressure from Euro deprec)
so i reckon they're either expecting an imminent QE wave or an Euro exit by one of the peripheral countries (Grexit)

Thanks guys!
So it seems this could be serious issue as it may trigger the breaking up of euro union. This 2015 is really a volatile year, first the energy and now the Euro concern is back. That's probably why 10 year bond surge sky high in past few weeks and gold is rebounding. unsure.gif

The Swiss National Bank move is really devastating to Euro.. heck. already retreating, now
they're going to push it down even more. They are going to cause Europe to stay in recession.

This is no good, another round of Euro crisis.....however, i guess the effect for 2nd round most likely only got max 50% power from the 1st round.....which is still very the geng big huge bear. sweat.gif
