What kind of size contracts are you selling Puts? Quite high margin requirement 

Are options taxed under CGT in US?

My contracts' sizing are based on the strike prices i sell the naked Puts at.
Ranges from 3 to 8 contracts usually - only have enough for that to sustain 6 to 8 open positions

ISE Equity Call/Put Ratio at highest 244.0 since 14th Nov 2015

ISE create this ratio to represents the total "BUY TO OPEN" options, unlike OEX's ratio. This filters out institutional "SELL TO OPEN" contracts which reflects the actual buying strength.

As such, when the index is high this implicates there are more buyers who bought call options than put options.

It's a contrarian signal, one should expect lower market index in the near future.

But again, this happens when we are into the earnings week.

hmm... and i was wondering last nigght why oil/energy stocks went south when oil price was going north...

USD 6b contract !!! omg. cant imagine how large it is.
However, these long contract will affect/not affect the short term oil share prices (oil prices are going up as iran's oil piles are yet to be released).

i think not affecting oil prices, but the etf's and oil/energy stock prices taking a dive!

anyway, they made good gains lately. will see how for the rest of the week.

oil/energy is sexy, o&g jobs pay too well, everyone wants to be a part of it... the thought of usd200 a barrel, u know...!

Finally overbought signals are being repaired 80%.

I am referring to the overbought situation since last Friday (in which SnP brokeout from short term range) which carried on towards Monday. The condition has to be "repaired" as in distribution should happen anytime (in fact it did on Monday noon) into this morning's session. 20% refers to the wildcard during this week- the earning behemoth.

Once it's done, the market will be ready for another all time high and close April in green.

So far XLE holding up..nicely at the 80'ish level. Dunno whether it can break thru or not but I took some profits already.  If it wants to come back down, also can... we need more oil supply to bring down prices and need more margin squeeze stories from the financial market.
