Yeah.

You can withdraw to any bank account in your own name, anywhere in the world except sanctioned countries.
IB offers withdrawal via SWIFT (all supported currencies), ACH(USD) or SEPA (EUR).

Wait so even if you are withdrawing SGD to SG bank account, they don't EPS or FAST transfer?

They should do as they have a local account - I'll have to double check as don't have SGD account added there

For example to UK GBP BACS withdrawal is available too

My mistake. Seems like more local withdrawal options are available now.
Things have improved since my last SGD withdrawal a few years ago.
See the image attached, 'Giro/ACH' probably means FAST in SG context.
The same option is given for HKD too.

I use POSB for deposit and withdrawal.

i deposit SGX into IB... then within IB i do conversion to USD or HKD..

IB have no minimum. Open with zero.

i just bank in whatever amount.. even SGD1K also can..

Seriously SGD1k also can. But SGD1k is not USD1k.

coz my base currency with IB is SGD. then from IB convert to USD

i tested with small amount first.. also will test a withdrawal later.

did you manage to withdraw and see it in your bank account? How long would it take to withdraw to ur bank account

not yet withdraw... busy converting SGD to USD to HKD.. then buy some stuff. not enough $ hv to transfer in some more..

I consider IB to be safe - no issue holding a lot there. Use it for company overseas also, sometimes withdrawing / depositing $500k in a week

But depending on what you want live prices for, IB charges you for data subscriptions (delayed prices are free)

Hi might be a noob question here

Said i started investing with ETF with captrader now
and keeping it loooooooooong term until retired only withdraw

said by that time my portfolio might be few mil
would there be any issue to transfer few mil from captrader > SG account > MY bank account?

since it is a large amount and might fall under BNM monitoring?
