Well..To be fair you are paying for an entry level gaming laptop. So I guess, lower your expectation? lol

We can't do anything.. It's gtx860m.. it's a budget graphic card.. Not the high end 1.. Those game you're playing like Watch Dogs, Assassin Creed IV, Crysis 3 are all demanding games. Which mostly require a high end graphic card to run them on Ultra / High Settings 1080p

You should realize it before you get yourself a gaming laptop.. As for normal game and previous year high demanding game (Crysis 2 or 1, BF3 or any game prior 2014), 860m should be find on High settings 1080p

No need to overclock your gpu, since you're not sure what you're doing.. and personally I feel that OC-ing a laptop gpu won't make much diff.

But I think OC 860m won't do much different I think.. Still won't be able to play those game in ultra/high 1080p
Maybe a bit improve in performance lo.. Didn't try yet..

Nvidia GTX 965M is already available on ILLEGEAR S5 and S7.

GTX 965M is RM180~RM220 cheaper than GTX 970M.

Nop.. So far based on the benchmark, it's 30% increase in term of performance compared to 860m..
So 860m getting 50fps then 965m will be getting about 65 ? lol
If you want high end gaming on ultra 1080p, 965m is not the choice.. 970m or 980m is your bet..
And 2GB vram is not enough to play most high end game on ultra settings..

The coming Witcher 3 if not mistaken, require 6GB vram to play on ultra / high..

if I read right, supposedly, not that big difference (on paper), 45%-50% higher than the 860M, and slightly better than 870M.

On SLI mode it's supposed to be better than 980M, but then rule of the thumb: never trust SLI scores on real life performance.

Yea.. Some game don't even support SLI

GTX 860M - 3928
GTX 965M - 5394
GTX 970M - 7268

GTX 965M is 37% faster than GTX 860M
GTX 970M is 35% faster than GTX 965M, and 85% faster than GTX 860M

Let's use a smaller FPS as an example instead.
Using a high FPS as example is like saying 100FPS vs 150FPS is unnoticeable even if it is 50% difference.

Scenario A
GTX 860M - 22FPS(quite laggy)
GTX 965M - 30FPS(playable)
GTX 970M - 40FPS(quite smooth)

Scenario B
GTX 860M - 17FPS(unplayable)
GTX 965M - 23FPS(quite laggy)
GTX 970M - 31FPS(playable)

Yes, different game will have different results(some lower, some higher), since 3DMark13 doesn't justify all games.
It is just as an example.
