It should be based on the Clevo P650SE GTX 970M or P650SG GTX 980M units.

QUOTE(Arvinaaaaa @ Nov 13 2014, 08:36 PM) i compared prices between both laptops Sometimes it is not as simple as that.for ANOTHER CLEVO LAPTOP, rm 4399 clevo laptop is about 1200$ in xoticpc website the clevO version of this new illegear laptop is about 1200$ too, which means about 4399 u understand what i mean? It depends, coz I myself is also playing guessing like you. Let us use an exact laptop, that is also the latest. For example : Xoticpc Sager NP8268-S(Clevo P150SM-A) with GTX 970M - USD1,349 Regular price (without mSATA SSD) ILLEGEAR RS-15(Clevo P150SM-A) with GTX 970M - RM6,199 So, in Xoticpc, a Sager NP8651(Clevo P650SE) cost about USD1,269 regular price. Do you think the same model will cost RM4,399? Probably we should wait until Prince J announce the price. Hopefully it is cheap. |

The only downside of the AW13 is the CPU.
If it comes with a Quad Core CPU, I think I might actually grab it. The big advantage of the AW13 are the GTX 860M GPU internally and can connect to a docking station with a Desktop GPU. |

QUOTE(martin5516 @ Jan 10 2015, 03:04 PM) From Notebookcheck.Based on 3DMark Firestrike graphics : GTX 860M - 3928 GTX 965M - 5394 GTX 970M - 7268 GTX 965M is 37% faster than GTX 860M GTX 970M is 35% faster than GTX 965M, and 85% faster than GTX 860M Let's use a smaller FPS as an example instead. Using a high FPS as example is like saying 100FPS vs 150FPS is unnoticeable even if it is 50% difference. Scenario A GTX 860M - 22FPS(quite laggy) GTX 965M - 30FPS(playable) GTX 970M - 40FPS(quite smooth) Scenario B GTX 860M - 17FPS(unplayable) GTX 965M - 23FPS(quite laggy) GTX 970M - 31FPS(playable) Yes, different game will have different results(some lower, some higher), since 3DMark13 doesn't justify all games. It is just as an example. |

QUOTE(Cloud2322 @ Mar 30 2015, 11:13 PM) Hmm.. I'm getting a Illegear Z5.. do you think paying extra 700 bucks to upgrade GTX 960m to GTX 970m worth it? Worth it.Or stay with 960m? Need some professional review XD GTX 970M is much2 more faster than GTX 960M. Around 50 to 80 percent faster, depending on games. This post has been edited by Amal: Mar 30 2015, 11:50 PM |

QUOTE(Cloud2322 @ Mar 31 2015, 12:33 AM) I see.. But the price differences it's about 700 Depend on ur usage and how long you want your laptop to last. And I'm not a hardcore gamer.. :\ somehow it's still very tempting.. is there anyone own a 970m beast? What is the price for the GTX 960M version? Let say if I follow the current GTX 860M, which is RM3.8k. RM700 from RM3.8k is about 18% more expensive, for an additional 50%-80% increase of performance. But if you think that RM700 is a big additional amount for you, and you have other things that you need the money for, then GTX 960M is still ok. |

QUOTE(Cloud2322 @ Mar 31 2015, 12:52 AM) Some how the performance is about 30%-50% extra, current version is GTX 960m 4g GDDR5 RM4.2k upgrade to GTX 970m 4G GDDR5 is 5k.. Actually is rm800 extra about 18% of the price.. This is from Notebookcheck :But how long would it last for GTX 970m compared to GTX 960m..? Graphics card Overall performance (Ultra-preset) GeForce GTX 980M +104 % GeForce GTX 970M +64 % GeForce GTX 965M +15 % GeForce GTX 960M Base GeForce GTX 860M Maxwell -8 % GeForce GTX 860M Kepler -17 % http://www.notebookcheck.net/Nvidia-GeForc...w.137893.0.html So in average GTX 970M is 64% faster. How long it can last is depend on what game, and what settings that you consider is acceptable. Some people don't mind playing at low settings and low resolution, some do mind going lower than a high settings and 1080p. An acceptable frame rate is usually around 30fps and above. So let say the GTX 960M can get 30fps, means that a GTX 970M can get around 49.2fps. So let say the GTX 970M can barely get 30fps in the future. This will translate to only 18fps on the GTX 960M. |
