so, i just got back my z1 today from the curve. took about 10 days in total.

changed the battery, screen and sim tray.

total cost = RM0

yup. it's all FOC and i dunno why. they just say no payment needed, then i just grab my phone and cabut

Sony Centre in the curve. Z1 warranty only 1 year. I have been using mine for about 18 months already. Unless it comes with 2 years warranty, which I don't think so lo.

Yeah... Feels like a new phone now. My battery life now back to normal. Even running lollipop, as of now can get 3 hours sot with 40% juice left

If you bought it during a promotional period, there is 2 years warranty.

Btw, does your back panel bulge? Because every dismantling, sometimes they won't properly seal the back panel which results in waterproof failure.

Not promotional period. Bought it by signing up with maxis contact.

yup.. My back panel does bulge out b4 this. Now I can really feel it's flat. I did see their service report. They say they did conduct the waterproof test la.

I am a Z1 user, my build number is 14.4.A.0.157 carrier Maxis but still no update notification...

I don't think got ota yet. Did you connect to pc and run pc companion?

Yes. Choose support zone and do phone/tablet software update..... but say I am using latest software.

is yours ori malaysia set?

Signed package with maxis then go under warranty with tech protec scheme and get a replacement unit.

Then I'm not sure why.... Mine also sign under maxis and got the updates weeks ago

May I know your phone baseband version because previously I had flashed custom rom on my phone and I flashed back to stock, but don't know my stock rom is correct or not.

check if your baseband ID is 1276-7939.

No.
Can actually make it water proof.
Need buy the tape.

Just curious, does wear and tear such as the rubber seal almost fell off or speaker grill came off eligible for a warranty claim? I dare not use my Z1 near water afraid the waterproofing has been compromised.

Better not. And I don't think it's not eligible for warranty claim.
