yess
my battery improved suddenly
no more sudden shutdown when got 30% battery
no more shutdown/overheat when use camera

was full format 3 days ago (again) with complete data wipe in internal
just pain for waiting installing apps and setting
and thanks to google backup, all software auto recover nicely in overnight

tested until 5%
so far so good, still can do browsing with dimmed screen

at least i can save my budget 1st tongue.gif
*
initially after i did the factory reset, i too feel that my battery life have got better. no more sudden shut down due to battery empty. but after maybe 2 days using, the problem came back i think. will need longer time to monitor.

but anyway, i can really feel my battery bulging, so i may send for battery replacement these few days

My thoughts after lollipop:

1. Quick setting function gone (hold location button and tap setting to go to location setting)

2. No silent phone shortcut, not even using power key

3. No more quick setting widget (e.g Wi-Fi toggle widget)

4. Any way to remove 'what's new' bloatware and google bar on top of every page?

5. Hope notification text can scroll left to right

For item number 4, you can, just long press on the blank space until it comes up with widget, themes, etc, you have the hide option of the Google search bar. And for what's new, it is required as Sony update centre replaced by it.

Hye,

I browsed through this thread but can't seem to find an answer. Does the Lollipop update for Z1 support 'double tap to wake'? Sorry if I missed out the answer in anyone's reply. notworthy.gif

No. Change of UI material design and some tweaks here and there.
Don't expect too much as there is not much different.

the Z3C since release had it. whistling.gif

EDIT : and they must have a touch digitizer with pressure sensing to have this feature.

Xposed Lollipop will causing our Xperia Z1 bootloop.

Finally we got a fix here from XDA.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...0&postcount=123?

I attached the download here as well.

Things to do before start
1) Make sure you are running Lollipop 5.0.2
2) Make sure it is root
3) Make sure you have XZDualRecovery 2.18.12 (This is a Must!)

Steps

1) Reboot to recovery
2) Flash Xposed (xposed-arm-20150308.zip)
3) Flash below after flashed xposed
Attached File  xposed_sonyfix_v2.1.zip ( 422.87k ) Number of downloads: 1

Flash below to uninstall exposed if you facing boot loop
Attached File  xposed_uninstall.zip ( 179.08k ) Number of downloads: 1

Wrong...you can have double tap to wake by tweaking the kernel. My Old Nexus4 got that function by flashing custom kernel. Not sure if got def make it on XDA with Z1 though. You can even have gesture shortcuts like OPPO by tweaking the kernel.

Yes, but still. You need recovery.
If your Z1 have recovery. It can be easily root. But don't have, u will have to revert to kitkat. Get the recovery, root, update and root.

No use. Tweaking kernel for that feature results in battery draining.
They also need to have the hardware to do so.
