For clearer, more vivid pictures

From low-resolution videos to high-resolution movies − with Sony’s latest picture engine, X-Reality for mobile, everything you see on your display is analysed and selectively processed to give clean, clear and lifelike pictures. Three unique noise reduction features work their magic prior to upscaling, while Sony’s intelligent display technology optimises contrast, texture, outline, colour and noise.
Blazing fast performance

The world’s fastest smartphone processor

We’ve matched the latest Sony software with the all new, super powerful Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 800 processor. This advanced Quad-core processor is 75% faster than S4 Pro and gives you maximum power and speed with outstanding battery time – run multiple apps simultaneously, surf the web with little loading time, and stream videos without a break. The Snapdragon 800 processor is asynchronous, which means each core is powered independently. So you get the precise amount of power when you need it, without wasting power when you don’t.

Note: This issue are considered solved as Sony had updated the firmware to include the white balance setting. This will allow user to tune the screen colour to their own liking

How to Flash Firmware on Z1 Using Flashtool and Xperifirm

This is a guide to flash the latest firmware Android 6.0 Marshmallow. But this process can also be used to flash ANY firmware for ANY Xperia device.

Note that you do not need to unlock your bootloader nor do you need root to flash your handset.

Please read the instructions thoroughly before attempting to flash your phone.

How to Root Your Device

This is Easy Root Tool for various Xperia devices (first developed for Z1 Compact). It's almost one-click root. Currently only Windows is supported, I might add linux support later. Bootloader is untouched!

What you get
  • Root
  • Access to /system rw
Requirements
  • USB debugging enabled
Settings => About phone => Click 7 times on Android Build to unlock developer options
  • Unknown sources enabled
    Settings => Security
  • adb drivers installed
How to use
  1. Download the attachment (latest version) and extract it
  2. Start your phone and plug it to your computer
  3. Run install.bat and follow the instructions on screen
  4. Congratulations! You should now be rooted.
Don't forget to make a donation
What can you do next
  • Make a donation to the people involved
  • Install SuperSU by Chainfire (recommend!) from Google Play Store
  • Install dualrecovery by [NUT]
Download Z1-lockeddualrecovery2.7.XXX-BETA.installer.zip from http://nut.xperia-files.com/, run install.bat and select Option #2
Confirmed devices
  • Z1 Compact - D5503
  • Z1 - C6903

Rooting KitKat FW 14.4.A.0.157

So far the only root method that works on the latest firmware 157 is by flashing 108 kernel, root, and flash back 157 kernel. details as in the link

*****

Rooting Lollipop FW

This method will work on all Xperia devices running Lollipop , KitKat or any other older version.
This will work on both Locked Bootloader and Unlocked Bootloader.

USER WARNING This root method sends your IMEI number to an ip address in china during the process. Only use this root method if you are aware of this and accept the risk.
You have been warned
