because everyone knows gigabit lan is way better for gaming. for other countries. most gamers game on lan..

but for asian countries... most game on wifi..

not sure why.

oh BTW...

i swapped most everything from my g55vw

from ssd to ram to hdd to wifi card to dvd rom to msata ssd. hehe XD

lol! no i play games with lan cable actually. however i use wifi to access files at home. .ac is much faster than .n; 2x2 is much better than 1x1

nice haha i have done all of that in mine too, plus cpu and setting up raid0 with sata and msata ssd

if newer g-series have such such for upgrades, i will go for it all the way. too bad :/

I doubt it work with laptop. Read Here for more info why it is not compatible with laptop.

Just wanna kind of warn new ROG buyers, DON'T use its given laptop bag and choose one carefully. The zip chips the side corner of your laptop and in turn the laptop's chip will tear a hole in the bag. Now both are damaged. Heart broken.... I know this might seem like a very trivial thing to those rich folks out there, but still it's 4k stuff, and I've owned it barely 1 month and treat it like a baby and this happens.

The chip is noticeable and cuts, and the red side is also dented in. I have no idea what happened but maybe sitting with the backpack on my back. ARGH!!

Your LAN is realtek or Intel? If its realtek then, they may have included realtek as compatibility in Gamefirst 3.

Suffering from USB 3.0 Left issue. Portable hdd keep connected and disconnected, at first I thought problem with portable hdd.

I don't know if it's Targus, but it has the ROG logo on it. Oh well. I may appear to be whining but it's kind of heart-breaking.

i know the feeling. when i got my g55, the stock bag was too fit for a 15.6" also. i ended up getting bags for 18" to put in stuff that i need :/ (for bags it's always better to get 17" or 18". they last for quite some time. you can use it for larger laptops also)

the similar issues are happening from w8 to w8.1. the registry trick does the job.
