should be thankful it is not soldered if not it's a nightmare to use the laptop till it aging.

Yeah, the fortunate thing in this unfortunate case is that it is still swappable... If this thing happens on the new MacBook then... doh.gif

agreed lol!

yes i avoid anything soldered. it's not that i like customizations. these machines, when handled them well, can last for years. i just wanna have the option to swap stuff when needed, so that they can still work optimally in future.

Some smartphone do have the same type of issue but only happens due to router incompatibility or congested network.

right, which is lucky for me because i have the least issues with phones and tablets. although it's getting old, asus.rt-ac66u is good stuff.

maybe it's mainly due to weak ringgit.

there is nothing new in recent releases these days. hopefully there is something worthwhile in the next waves.

There's a chance we'll see less new ROG owners with G551JM retired from Malaysia Market. sweat.gif

yeah there is the possibility. sadly. the same has started happening in their pc parts too: high price but pretty bad supports. the continuous deterioration of asus service quality is a real turn-off for their electronics.

i wonder why asus Malaysia is so weak in managing the brand. it's like they are all on vacation the whole time.

Why bother remove battery?  It wont explode or overcharge, notebook nowadays already been carefully engineered, specially Asus.
My 4 years old notebook battery never been removed, still work 4+ hours without AC supply, still in good health and haven't explode.  tongue.gif

but i saw the wear level of battery keep increase.... and is it high temperature during gaming will reduce life span of battery?

you misunderstood how power source works. apparently the problem started not after you installed the software, but after you pulled the battery out without powering the machine off.

i use both software too for years, no problem.

ok after this i sure will not do it again, thk for input!

if the laptop is plugged in most of the times, the battery wear level usually doesn't go bad so soon. here is my stock battery on my aw m17x r4, after about 3 years.

Attached Image

of course, this depends on usage. mine is plugged in most of the times. if you're using it on-the-go most of the times, then it might be higher.

Ok, now changed the Wifi card to something equivalent to the Killer-N 1202... Let's see there's any issue on this, praying that everything will be smooth and without issue... notworthy.gif

I Just realize something on Asus Product Guide...

Asus N551ZU comes with AMD Radeon™ R9 M280X with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM Graphics and cost alot cheaper than Nvidia? This looks like a steal to me.
