QUOTE(cucubud @ Apr 3 2018, 11:20 AM) Only car insurance got depreciation when claim after a few years. Tv insurance got no depreciation. This is good news. True, by right there shouldn't be any depreciation anyway because you pay the same premium amount for each year. So the market value of the tv isn't adjusted for like for car insurance. So it makes sense that you get back the full amount. But of course different shops use different underwriters so the process would be different. I think the shops make a very good margin on selling the extended warranties.

I bought the extended warranty from Panasonic direct. Don't know whether it is under insurance scheme or something else.

QUOTE(stasio @ Apr 10 2018, 05:00 PM) Mostly IPS for LCD. The new FX750 is also IPS but looks like 65" not available in Malaysia. Panasonic is going to be irrelevant as far as mainstream models are concerned. Hope that Samsung will price its NU models more reasonably and maybe Hisense will step up their game to give us some more budget choices rather than just Sony currently. QUOTE(stasio @ Apr 11 2018, 12:33 PM) They also downgrade model 43 to FX500K from previous EX600K ...... This seems to be the common theme for all manufacturers. Smaller size <55" are all lower end models. if you want a better tv, must buy 55" or bigger.

QUOTE(davidnigel @ Apr 19 2018, 10:31 PM) Apologies bro, the 49inch version is most probably an IPS unlike the 55" & 65". I have personally tested the 55" & 65" versions but not the 49". You may want to test it to confirm first. Otherwise, you can consider the Sharp 6500X / 6800X or Samsung MU6100. https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/model/518bbb7

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Jan 1 2018, 10:02 PM) I not buy online. Panasonic is default preset on more natural color instead of very vibrant. But all this can be tune to your preferable. It is better compare by yourself and decide as different people different preferable. For me this Panasonic is very great on up-scaling STD contents. It is very well done. The only cons I can said is they is a very slight light border shadow on this EX600 model.
- Sony X70E - It is nice but far more expensive and not running Android TV like others Sony this year TV, only start from X80E is Smart TV running Android TV OS.
- Samsung MU6100 - I never like low end Samsung TV as it was not good.
- LG UJ630 - I love LG new design remote which is very easier for input. LG WebOS design also much appealing. I initial is intend to buy LG TV. Support 2 out of 3 HDR format (HDR10 and HLG). The Smart OS is WebOS.
- Panasonic EX600 - End up I choosing this and no regret. Just the only cons part to me is that very slight light border shadow. Support 2 out of 3 HDR format (HDR10 and HLG), website only mentioned support multiple format and I already test it confirmed is support HDR10 and HLG. The Smart OS is Firefox OS (now already purchase by Panasonic).
They is 3 HDR format in market. HDR10, Dolby Vision and HLG. HDR10 is the very common format and now all HDR TV is support it, awesome output quality, UHD Blu-ray is on this HDR10 format. Dolby Vision as I know only the LG OLED TV support it, so far as I know only Apple TV HDR is on this format even though it is the best ever did. HLG is the selected format for broadcast. You can get a lot HDR sample to test here - http://4kmedia.org/OMG! I am so sad! I bought all my movies on Apple TV and the 4k HDR Dolby Vision is not support on this TV. So sad ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ Already decided to buy this TV. This post has been edited by netster: Apr 23 2018, 09:15 AM
