you should also telling him the flexibility of site office hour, lunch and dinner treats by sub cons and suppliers, happy hours treats, happy ending massage, Spa rejuvenate, KTV, allowance from sub con and supplier , profit sharing from selling "scraps", OT allowance and etc.

Different people different priorities. But to me not interested in this...even if I am, not worth it. Better get a work life balance.

Developer
Consultant (Architect, Engineer and etc)
Main Contractor
Subcontractor / Vendor / Supplier
Local Authority (DBKL, BOMBA, SYABAS, TNB, TELEKOM, POS, JKKP, IWK and etc.)

u can also ask me about construction law. I know a lot abt that too biggrin.gif

I might be wrong

contract executive, someone who do not have surveyor license but work as Q's

Qs, licensed but normally work as consultant hire or appointed by client to make sure contract within budget

Contract manager and project manager? The pose manager say it all. Team or department head

Safety coordinator are attached to contract firm? Officer are like qs appointed by client?

my try, might be wrong laugh.gif

1. Contract Mngr = handle contract
2. Project Mngr = handle project

3. Contract Exec = assistant of Contract Mngr on Contract
4. QS = BoQ works, tender exercise

5. Safety officer = 1 with certification from OSHA to conduct safety at site
6. Safety coordinator = assistant of safety officer, might be with cert with no experiance / less senior

Dunno if relevant, but how much does it cost to lay 1000 km of fibre?
*
my try, rough estimate.

1000km = JB to Kelantan ??? laugh.gif

at least RM10million lolz

long distance use single mode optical fibre.

but 1000km is way too long so im not sure is it using single mode or god mode optical fibre laugh.gif

say 1M run = RM10

1km = 1000m = RM10,000

1000km = RM10,000,000

price for cable RM10mil, exclude temp works, trench excavations, labor, make good, application to different state local authority, fibre patch panel, mdf substation, distributor, and many more.

for configuration i duno lolz, 1000km the signal lost too much than the threshold level or must use different jointing method ? hmm.gif

so my guess RM20mil to lay 1000km fibre ? hmm.gif

My subcon did not follow install 2 out of the 3 doors as shown in the photo, saying they were very rush for other job and couldnt get enough lintel at that time.
When or above what height does a lintel be required to be installed? What are the consequences if a lintel is not install like the photo shown?

Pre cast lintel are 4"X4'
OR can be cast to any size by contractor.
Mild steel or rebar can replace if the wall above wall are minimal.

all the door must have lintel. if not soon or later it will sag as the load magnitude toward the top of door frame sweat.gif

regarding and height, that's the lintel when ur brickwall is high. that 1 u a can refer to the "general note" of drawing. but definitely in ur case it has nothing to do with the height. all the door require lintel la. sweat.gif

lintel just cast insitu at site, after cure then only put on top of frame. easy job how come cannot find? sweat.gif of course u need to pay separately so subcon for the lintel he do for u.

who makes the most moolah listing 1 to 10?? director of construction company? the subcons? the city officials/authorities?? suppliers?

how much budget tat provided for the big projects is songlap from the top officials to the lowly wager?

how much is actual markup from price of land bought to build house n necessary infrastructure to selling of the lot n building??
*
varies. i can tell u this markup go through many level already. for developer, 25% is profit while 75% is expenses to build the building up.

Out of 75%, 60% is main con and the balance 15% goes to consultant fee, local authority contribution, marketing & advertising, and etc.

Out of 60%, 54% is actual cost given to subcon fixing cost and maincon supervision cost while 6% is main con profit.

out of 54%, 46% is the material and labour subcon use while 8% is subcon profit.

in conclusion, actual material and labour cost to build is just 46% sweat.gif

of course this is different from project to project biggrin.gif
