my condo keep cracking here there, plastered cracks crack again, then pipe leak inside wall. swimmin pool after repair leak again.
What is happening ?
is it foundation problem ?
*
very minor crack? like hairline crack? very likely is plastering issue more la. if foundation issue, the crack would be very big.

Bought a new home. Staying for almost one year.
Still no telephone line.
Check with developer. He say they already all the form to Telekom. Just waiting telekom to fix the post.
Just wondering why it takes so long for Telekom to install phone and Internet.
*
ic, to telekom it's not viable to install at ur area. that's why they don't wanna / reluctant open up line for ur area. unless they have enough potential subscriber la. always like this.

How much to build a single carriageway highway in Sabah per km?
*
measure by area, square meter m2 1. at klang valley it is about RM60 / m2. if 1 carriageway wide is 4m, then 1km = 1000m x 4m x RM60 = RM240,000

must electrical wires be always in plastic conduits if embedded inside walls?

i want to install extra point from my pillar light point to other spots along same wall, so thinking to just run thicker wires on top edge and then brick/plaster it up
*
u can expose also la if u want. not aesthetic. however if u wanna expose those conduit u need to use galvanized conduit but not plastic. plastic only allow to be embedded inside concrete / plaster.

Hi TS, im going to do renovation in office soon and i would like to put Vinyl flooring. Just want to ask can the vinyl glue to the floor? Because i concern about the edge of the vinyl, especially in the mddle of walkway, can collect dust and pple can kick it and koyak. Isit expensive?? Any other cheaper method beside tiles, because the office is just temporary, maybe 2 or 3 years

for office why not using carpet tile? it won't be so prune to dirty like vinyl.

nowdays,  ee can see a lot of people building or renovate their home into 3 storey house.

why not build a basement and 2 story house?  basement can make a sound proof room.  good for karaoke,  playing games or setting a home made cinema.
*
simply because of money. build basement is high cost and time consuming, a lot of temporary work require to build the basement which take up a lot of construction time and money. longer construction period, u need to pay more wages too to those competent personnel who build the house.

SIr another question, When consultant issue an EI to contractor. Can the contractor come out with the quotation and discuss the rate (finalized the price)before work is carried out?
*
QUOTE(MishimaZ @ Mar 10 2015, 12:29 PM)
Depends on on the instructions..... It is either up to the contractor to absorb the costs or discuss the variation orders which materials will be based on market price.

In the end see how the changes affects the works....
*
contractor have to carry out the work at his best endeavour even though the price not yet finalize. it is because contractor signed the agreement that they allow engineer/consultant to instruct them to work and they will carry out upon the instruction given. I know this seems unfair but the fact is contactor didn't challenge this clause while signing the agreement, so it's actually fair since contractor accepted that agreement to obey instruction. when come to cost wise, what a competent contractor would do is get competitive pricing in the market and client can't challenge the price is this is competitive market price. hence as a contractor u have to be very competent else in risk of big rugi

why ar the construction site usually go the small tokong... u believe in it? how about the myanmar or bangladeshi worker,, how do they fell about it..
*
that's is datokong laugh.gif
it's just Chinese superstitious believe and everyone buy it. basically u do the work at that ground so u must ask for permission and pray for safe and smooth progress. even Japan and Korean contractor also buy into this idea. but some because of the client (developer) is Chinese so they did that to ease their mind la.
