i used to believe greenify helps. i even bought full version to support.
but after i realize same battery drain only, i feel like i wasted my money only.

FB is the app that has the highest wake trigger. 70+ times, it's like 10 times every hour. lol...

btw i also got post in xda. but there like ghost town.

Just uninstall FB and use Flipboard to view FB. No wakelocks and uses the least battery, even lesser than browser. That is if you can live without notifications like me, I have a dedicated iPhone for all of my push notifications.

Have you identify the culprit who sucks your battery? Is it Greenify or Facebook?

I don't have battery drain. My battery life is excellent.
I was using greenify all this while

Just that I have a curious thought one day. I wonder how bad my battery life would be without greenify. Wana get some data so I can convince people to use greenify. Showing people proof is more convincing than just saying greenify save battery like a boss

So I freeze greenify yesterday morning. Use my phone like usual. And let it be though out the night. Expecting to wake with 2-3 times the battery drain.

But guess what? It's the same. So I wonder whether greenify is really doing its job.

But i guess it toot early to judge jz base one one day test. I'll try again few times and see.

try uninstalling greenify instead of freezing it. then re-run your test

IMHO freezing is as good as uninstalling. Just that it still occupies space on your partition.

What phone are you using? IMO new phones won't see that much of an impact cos the battery is fairly new.

Maybe you'll see more results on older phones?

I installed greenify on my mi3 with aosp it does help a bit when on idle. If you're using your phone most of the time don't think it'll help much since some of the apps only hibernate after screen is off. Killing tasks in the background helps conserve battery too. So if you kill background tasks oftenly, don't think you'll see significant differences.

By the way I have no problems with notifications for my WhatsApp. I do get instant notifications. No lag or anything so far.

Can greenify freezes chrome and google services. Those seems to be running in background all the time. Does this consume battery?

You need the paid version only can freeze system apps.
You can freeze chrome if u have the donate versjon. But it's not advisable to freeze Google service. It will get woken all the time, many apps need it.

Mind if I ask what phone are you using? That battery life is pretty healthy in the first place. biggrin.gif

Yeah me too. Got no significant difference on greenify on TW based rom but help a bit on aosp based rom as cm known as bad idle time for klte. Maybe 30 minutes longer about 5-6 sot than 6-7 on TW. Btw I'm s5 user here

By the way it seems like CleanMaster is killing off the accessibility settings for the greenify which is required to hibernate the apps?
