I've been using greenify for a long time.
i dont really know whether it is helping me save battery or causing me more trouble.
since opening a hibernated app has a tiny delay. not noticeable in most app, but very obvious for facebook.
opening a hibernated FB and you have to wait it load from scratch and stuck at the splash screen for 1-2 seconds.

below is battery info of 2 days. both approximate in standby for 7 hours. in the same spot on my table connected to the same wifi.

First one, with greenify.
almost all user apps&games and many unused system apps were greenify. only messaging apps like viber whatsapp hangouts, and google search were left untouched.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

second one, with greenify uninstalled.
i left google+, chrome, and FB running in the background (open the app and press home button)
wakelock duration is almost twice compared with with greenify, FB being the biggest culprit
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

but strangely...the battery drain is the same, both left with 97%. , both case also lose 3% over a period of 7 hours.
greenify doesn't do much to help save battery.
and in the case of FB, it causes unnecessary delay for app opening.

do you still think it's worth using greenify?

As usual, first world problem discussing how much battery can be saved or how much lag can minimise despite millions of children still suffering from hunger.

I am using greenify pro recently on my LG G Pro2, mediapad x1 n ex oppo Find7
Excellent battery savings. With phone on standby battery drain say over even 7 hours hardly exceed 2%
Before using greenify pro a drop of 5-7% is common

i dont use wechat, but if you greenify wechat, it will still get message?

getting lots of comments that say greenify help save battery.
but truth is, i let it overnight in standby with the most prominent wakelock culprits in the background, i get the same battery life. though the wakelock is higher without greenify, battery drain is identical.

wonder anyone actually do comparison with and without greenify.

I dont know about you. Ive been using Greenify for almost a year and a half. My enthusiasm in android convince me that Greenify increased my battery life. Why? Because it prevents all wakelocks that ive added to Hibernation Mode. I already tried many times after flashing new rom ,without installing Greenify and i compare them with Greenify install and Hibernation mode active, result is obvious to me that Greenify does help.

You saying your phone got delay when open up Facebook, but you hibernate facebook right? Dont want delay just dont hibernate it, just a couple of seconds does not interfere much in your life.

If you feel unhappy about Greenify, you are welcome to make a complaint in XDA greenify thread.

Nope, unless you're on Greenify Pro. I'm a person who check my phone on regular intervals, since I have so many phones to deal with. Plus I rarely use WeChat, only use it to contact those that are from China.

Let me ask you, would you rather have battery consuming and long duration wakelocks? Or many but short and low battery consumption wakelocks?

i used to believe greenify helps. i even bought full version to support.
but after i realize same battery drain only, i feel like i wasted my money only.

FB is the app that has the highest wake trigger. 100+ times, it's like >10 times every hour. lol...

btw i also got post in xda. but there like ghost town.
