Got an old Wira 1.5 Auto Sedan year 2000

Recently wanted to makeover or replacing all old parts that are problematic and no longer working
Just want to make it back to stock condition

Been Googling wira power window issues.. seems no firm solution to it... so the question is

Can the rear power windows be converted to "manual" ?

There are 2 types of regulator, different for 1.3(thinner) and 1.5 wira doors
Wira 1.5 rear left door regulator (bracket) plus manual turning handle
Wira 1.5 rear right door regulator (bracket) plus manual turning handle

Is there anything else to buy?

Is the current mounting holes support these manual regulators?

If anyone got experience, please help...

Thinking of doing it during weekends
Im able to open door trims, remove parts, just not sure if parts can be used before i buy it
Wondering if alot of mod need to done, then i just skip this...

Thanks
*
Power window mechanism(regulator+motor) just buy halfcut one lah, taken from evo/lancer. Mudah.my got many runner sell. One door for like 60-70 ringgit. Individual switch new from spare part shop from rm20 onwards. Driver power window switch rm60 onwards. Then get silicone spray for power window and spray at the rubber where the window slide up and down. Good luck smile.gif

guys, do u have any useful guide for example :

1) Brake fluid : type of brand, model, estimated price, where to get
2) steering fluid : ?

looking for these 2
*
Well, according to my manual

1) Any dot 3/ dot 4 brake fluid

2) ATF Dexron or ATF Dexron 2 as power steering fluid (0.9 litre)

Make sure the fluid is original though.

Already two months searching for 15' te37 white ori like cutting for my Wira..all shop said white got no stock currently sad.gif now thinking to mod the seat first, in mudah got seller sell rx8 seats ranging rm 500+-, the railing nees to be mod. But what mod is that? Use back the original wira railing or customize a new rail? Cannot afford the usual recaro lol, price can buy a set of tyres lol

Im using nightbreaker plus, the latest model is nightbreaker unlimited, people say that one is good

Speaking about bulb, anyone knows which shop in klang valley have the machine to properly adjust the light angle or provide service for that? I met with minor accident few weeks ago, the new headlamp replacement need to be adjust, it shines way too low

timingbelt kit with oil seal rm80-110

waterpump assy rm75-100++ (depend)

workmanship atleast rm80
so that price is just about right...
done changing that last night on my satria whistling.gif    from 5pm up to 12midnight job due to shitty threebond gasket gum didnt want to stick on surface properly and clumping....wasted 2 tube of that gasket gum...dammm  (*and redo some radiator fan wiring as well as service throttle body)
***btw..dont use any those stopleak/radiator liquid patches etc etc...it would cost more to repair all the damage done by them instead of repairing the actual damage
*
Still looking for cheaper workshop haha tongue.gif

I wish my place got 'under tree' mechanic wink.gif so many things to do, want to minimize cost as much as possible

Hi guys,

I found this blog on car repair. Very informative:
TACRA BLOG

However, the search box in that website sucks big time.
I just use Google with "Tacra" included as the keywords.  biggrin.gif
*
Can change the boot alone, no need replace whole driveshaft
Been using his blog from the day i bought Wira haha yea very informative
All my diy also refer to this page

Google gip me the name to be exhaust muffler/silencer

Correct or not? Pic is here sweat.gif

[attachmentid=4408441]
The brand is rimus.. I googled it gives more result on remus.. This one not good or what? sweat.gif
The mech says it gets clogged over time n when shifting the gears it's like not going smoothly like jerking a bit (I tot it happens cos clutch release n gas pedal not balance).
Sum more just got my rocker cover gasket replaced, could be cos of the clogged thing LA..
*
Not an expert about exhaust haha but if it solve the issue then job well done smile.gif

Anyway i found a workshop that only charge labour rm100 for timing belt replacement. Timing belt kit i bought bosch only for rm50 tongue.gif compare to my area workshop all want to charge 350 for replacement..

sorry guys, how to do a compression test? @.@"

got one mech last time suggest me to use back the ori tyre size, which is 13"
Previously, the car was mod to 15 inch tyres. he said this is the big drawback for performance..

13" rim isn't easy to find right? @@

thanks guy~
*
Go workshop

If fail compression test, something is wrong in your engine...overhaul thumbup.gif
If pass compression test only do repair list to bring back performance..spark plugs, distributor(mmc)/coil(for vdo), clean throttle body/carburetor , clean fuel injector, fuel filter etc..

Generally its true smaller rim more performance, the lighter the rims+tyre the more performance u get
I just changed from 16inch wira se stock rim to 15 inch, the new rim is light compare to old rims but i dont feel noticeable different
