KUP is different than gred hakiki jawatan. SUB can be turus also but it doesnt reflect the real grade for the post. yeah other skims are coming in ptd's jobscope as in KSU etc. but for me it doesnt matter. as long the job is done with perfection. competition is good in a way. whats important is the job gets done! If ptd really good, they will accept the challenge.

dude, the law of pension is that you receive max. 1/2 of your last drawn salary.

and that means if your salary rm10k but w/ allowance becomes rm18k, you still get only rm5k as your last drawn salary is still only rm10k.

and the only ppl who can get your pension in case you died is your spouse and/or children below the age of 18.

and full pension (1/2 of last drawn salary) is only for 25 years, after 25 years if you or your spouse are still living the amount of pension will be revised (maybe only 1/3 of last drawn salary, I'm not too sure of the calculations).

that's why you have all these stories of 100 year old pensioners complaining that they cannot survive on their pension, as probably their pension is only rm100-200/mth only.

my mom in law receives my late father-in-law's pension, her pension is only rm1000 (schoolteacher what do you expect?).

still can't qualify for BR1M anyway, that's why we live with her or else she can't survive in KL...

yeah I understand.

the gred hakiki nowadays is more of a guideline, meaning if someone got promoted from SUB to KSU, even though his/her old grade was jusa c or jusa b, but because the ksu comes with turus iii or turus ii grade, he/she automatically gets that grade.

and as I mentioned, if you stay long enough in the post you will be promoted beyond your gred hakiki, but only personal to holder (khas untuk penyandang).

once you leave the post, it reverts back to the original grade.

but very rarely I've heard of an sub who is turus grade.

my wife told me the previous ketua pengarah kesihatan (the one who got caught khalwat with a staff nurse) kept his turus II salary despite his job being suspended...

yeah they wished that I became one, took the exam and the 3 day assessment at IKWAS and interview, passed all but didn't accept the offer letter that time (12 years ago) because I liked my previous job then.

u should know gettin KUP is rare unless working damn long or ur boss really suka u. usually ur position will tally with the grade.

nope..around RM8k including elauns.

there are officers who receive 100% salary during pencen. but reserved for really high post like KSN etc. if im not wrong lar.. anyone can correct me.
