ultimate civil servant level is not jusa A, but KSN.

below KSN is Ketua Turus I, Ketua Turus II, Ketua Turus III, then only JUSA A.

example of ppl who are ketua turus I are Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan, Ketua Pengarah JKR, KPPA, Panglima Angkatan Tentera (PAT) etc...

ketua Turus II are those 2nd in command level or ketua setiausaha (KSU) or ketua pengarah of smaller dept.s like ketua pengarah EPU etc...

but yeah, even ketua turus I gaji is more than RM20k, and that does not include their allowances...

yup, there is such a thing as turus 1 as I explained above.

btw forgot to mention inspector general of police (IGP), he is also ketua turus.

in English it's translated as head of staff or head of service.

once you pencen, they will stop your PETRONAS smartpay fleet card privilieges and other privilieges.

also, you can't keep the accordana, but you can get it at harga susut nilai or harga sebelum cukai, I forgot actual term but it's whichever is higher.

most ppl I know normally don't want to buy the old perdana, too expensive to maintain by yourself.

some of the luckier ones get a free AP to import their own car or get a discount to buy a repossessed conti from kastam...

I did mention that ksn level is above all.

also, your friend must be ptd only like you. I guess you ppl rarely if ever mix around with other ppl not from your scheme.

IGP, PAT and some of the ketua pengarah who are also ketua perkhidmatan (head of service) are turus I as well.

by AG I assume you meant the attorney general, who is the ketua perkhidmatan for legal service (L scheme).

well, he was the former DG of JKR before he was 'demoted' to the post of CIBD CEO.

he was suppose to stay in the post but apparently some of the other higher level civil servants (I heard it was the KSN) was intimidated by his ability and relative young age, so he was 'shafted' to the CIBD post.

besides, he is also an adjunct professor of the privatised IKRAM (now known as Infrastructure University).

my bro-in-law once won a tender for the retired perdana long wheelbase belonging to the Melaka state govt.

the car was heavily modified, the stretched rooftop has started to crack and rust (you can see the welding joints) and the gearbox was shot.

the engine was also pitifully underpowered since they had to carry the extra weight.

it's now sitting in his garage after 3 years of abuse, dunno if he plans to sell it or repair it...

itu lama punya cerita, wee choo keong pun sudah tak berani masuk bertanding kat wangsa maju.

I recall that the previous IGP (ismail omar) retired holding turus I rank, same goes for musa Hassan who was extended via contract for so many years.

also the current PAT has been in his post for so long, for sure they will have no choice but to elevate him to turus I level.

usually for special cases they will give something like 'khas untuk penyandang' or KUP level to ppl who have held the post for so long.

meaning the grade is for him/her alone, once he/she retires the person who gets the post will start at the original turus II or turus III level as the post dictates...

specialist doctors in govt. normally start at UD52 grade.

my wife's boss is jusa C specialist, and he recently took delivery of a grey accordana....

bro, that is all old news bro.

nowadays some ppl can get those grade even though their scheme's upper limit is below the grade they are holding.

also, if you notice, the KSU II of kementerian pelajaran, dato' dr zaini ujang was not a ptd, but in fact was the former vice chancellor of UTM, the first professor (and non-ptd) to become a KSU, long a domain of arts/business/econs graduated PTD scheme...

tun haniff omar was the IGP at the age of 35.

meaning he reached turus II level while other ppl are probably at grade 44/48 only when compared to him.

and hence that is why an IGP can be a Turus I level, surely haniff omar was not taking only a turus II salary during the next 20 years of his service?

dude, the law of pension is that you receive max. 1/2 of your last drawn salary.

and that means if your salary rm10k but w/ allowance becomes rm18k, you still get only rm5k as your last drawn salary is still only rm10k.

and the only ppl who can get your pension in case you died is your spouse and/or children below the age of 18.

and full pension (1/2 of last drawn salary) is only for 25 years, after 25 years if you or your spouse are still living the amount of pension will be revised (maybe only 1/3 of last drawn salary, I'm not too sure of the calculations).

that's why you have all these stories of 100 year old pensioners complaining that they cannot survive on their pension, as probably their pension is only rm100-200/mth only.

my mom in law receives my late father-in-law's pension, her pension is only rm1000 (schoolteacher what do you expect?).

still can't qualify for BR1M anyway, that's why we live with her or else she can't survive in KL...

yeah I understand.

the gred hakiki nowadays is more of a guideline, meaning if someone got promoted from SUB to KSU, even though his/her old grade was jusa c or jusa b, but because the ksu comes with turus iii or turus ii grade, he/she automatically gets that grade.

and as I mentioned, if you stay long enough in the post you will be promoted beyond your gred hakiki, but only personal to holder (khas untuk penyandang).

once you leave the post, it reverts back to the original grade.

but very rarely I've heard of an sub who is turus grade.

my wife told me the previous ketua pengarah kesihatan (the one who got caught khalwat with a staff nurse) kept his turus II salary despite his job being suspended...

yeah they wished that I became one, took the exam and the 3 day assessment at IKWAS and interview, passed all but didn't accept the offer letter that time (12 years ago) because I liked my previous job then.

got nurse marry doctor (common), got female doc marry Medical assistant, also heard stories of female jusa marrying their drivers or the clerk in another jabatan.

my friend's friend who is in JPA said got a lot of clerk who goes by the rank of datin bcos they married a d.o dato'.

banyakkan berdoa semoga bertemu jodoh dengan perempuan setimpal....
