Happy Chinese New Year, everyone.

It's like a normal day here in Perth x.xexcept that there was lion dance at a dim sum restaurant we dined in.

I arrived here safely on Friday with an overweight baggage of more than 10kg because bloody MSL x.x only gave a 20kg limit. Thank god the counter person let me pass after a lot of persuasion. So, next time when you collect your tickets, make sure you check your ticket and see if they give you 20kg or 30kg limit.

Hey, if you're studying in Melbourne, we can try to arrange a small gathering before the semester starts. Drop me a PM with your contact #, location, and the days you're available..

Anyone from QUT (Queensland Uni of Technology) here? I'm heading down there 2moro. Doing LLB/B of IT there.

Just want to ask anyone in Brisbane some questions:
1) Do you need termal underwear?
2) How cold is winter actually? Do you need a thick coat and wool jumper? (I have them, wondering if I need them).
3)Is it feasible to wear short sleeves clothing on a regular basis? I hate cold weather. Dont even like aircond...

Happy Chinese New Year to all!

1) Brisbane is far from the antartic circle. so no you dont need it
2) winter day time it can be around 18-24c. temp drops at night though till around 4c at times. i never bothered with a thick coat. i usually wear a t shirt and a wool jumper.
3) i'm always wearing short sleeves during spring and summer. but autumn onwards you'll probably need the wool jumper.

As long as I've been in Melbourne...... I haven't seen any place there that is comparable to Low Yat Plaza (with all the computer/handphone shops).......

You could try Swap Meet instead, its usually held every weekend but at different locations...... AU$3 for multiple entry within a day........ here's the link to see where the next one is......

That is the link to the MSY site....... ironically, for a shop that sells computer parts, their website totally sucks, functional but sucky.......... but their prices are good smile.gif ..........

vline is to go rural area ..which mean outside melbourne like ballarat, gippsland geelong
metlink is for melbourne city and suburban
yarra tram, smartbus, and connex train all r intergrated into 1 system of ticketing.
you can see more in www.metlink.com.au
like your case xng, living near melb uni...if you hardworking, walk..it isnt tat far...if want waste use tram...it all depends on individual better if you can get a bicycle.
but just basically tell ya...train/tram is zone 1 is more higher by 30 bucks if not mistaken.
