QUOTE(dauf87 @ Jun 19 2018, 10:27 PM) Hi guys, i was offered an Ambank variable rate loan for the CX5.. Bro, a friend of mine working in banking line told me that expected % will inflates twice within this 2-3 years. My personal opinion is not to go for variable rates that is why i rejected RHB which giving me 2.38% but the ceiling rate is 6.0% (scary). But, like others member said if you plan to take 9 years loan & settled it by 5 years then nothing affects on you much if really that the % inflates.Do you suggest variable rate loan better than the fixed loan? Thanks! |

He did many CX-5 with apply tint on top of the skytint except windscreen.I chose MPro window film and coating package for my new zoomzoom 😌 As I know MPRO is new brand and dont know where the tint from. How much the MPRO tint ? if more than 2k, then go for Huper since it has good reputation for long time already. |

QUOTE(QQHTJ @ Jun 20 2018, 09:34 AM) The new tint will be 5mil. Will it too thick ? Yes under warranty. MPRO Window Film, 3k included tinted and coating Too thick to apply 2 layers. The maximum thickness you can apply is around 6mil. If you want to apply 2 layers, best go for those 2mil solar tint.3k inclusive of tint and coating? Never heard of this tint brand before. You can do separately if you want. Tint for whole car for 3M, Huper Optik and Llumar should cost about 2k ish. Vkool should cost a bit more. Coating depends on brand, layers, warranty and etc but should cost from 1.2k to 2k. Combining both should amount to around 3k. |

Windscreen should stick to normal solar tint, and not security tint, so should be 1.5 to 2 mil.For security tint, nowadays manufacturers specs are between 4 to 6 mil. There are still some offering 7 or 8 mil, but very rare already. For Minolta Skytint security tint, the specs is 4 mil, so if you want to make it darker just stick normal solar tint on top of it This post has been edited by widget: Jun 20 2018, 10:35 AM |

Hi all, I am a newbie here and also a soon to be owner of the CX-5.
This topic may have been brought up before but I would like to know your thoughts on the torque of the 2.2D on the FWD vs AWD. I have seen a video clip on youtube by a local established car reviewer on the 2.2D FWD and his thoughts was that it causes wheelspins and torque steer, as power is now channeled onto the FWD drivetrain. Although widely noticeable when he tested the car, he also advised user to consider the AWD. Personally i have not tested the 2.2 FWD but instead tested the 2.2 AWD and the drivetrain on acceleration is seamless. I was also told that AWD production has been postponed to later part of the year, SST would kick in by then. What was offered was the 2.2FWD for sale which there isn't a demo car available, not in my local SC at least, have called up a few but only AWD available for testing. The lingering question is for those that are owning the 2.2FWD, are you noticing this wheelspin and torque steer? Do these problems bother you on your daily drive? I'm quite fixed on the 2.2FWD (not much choice left vs the AWD at much later production). Thoughts? Thanks. |

Both of them when I pressed the accelerator pedal quite hard as I was exiting into a busy MRR2 from a T-junction. Nothing bad happened but I can definitely felt and heard the wheels pin, albeit for a very short time only. The weather was clear but I suspected there could be some loose gravel or sand on the trunk road that I was exiting from. Once you get used on how to press the pedal, should not really be an issue. |

QUOTE(widget @ Jun 20 2018, 11:26 AM) In my 4 months of ownership of the 2.2D Fwd, the wheel-spin only happened to me twice. Thanks @widget for the insight. I guess i wouldnt be 'pedal-happy' on daily drives either. I'm more concerned if the car is on the move and there is need to accelerate (overtaking etc) that the sudden rush of torque would give rise to the problem. Can't imagine if I have to deal with the wheelspin everytime the pedal pressed. I guess as long as the wheelspin kicks in from standstill and is expected from suddenly pressing of the pedal its acceptable.
