For those aiming for Soul Red & Machine Grey, about 3-6 months waiting period.

Easier available colors are other colors inclusive Snowflake White.

How about the diesel 2.2 2wd?
Any tentative launching date and waiting period?
cheers

Test drove a 2.2D 2wd at Mazda Glenmarie during lunch time.
Coming from a 2-litre petrol-powered 2011 Kia Sportage GT awd, the pick-up and acceleration of the 2.2D is just superb for an SUV.
The handling is also good, with the 19" tyres felt firmly planted on the road when cornering although the suspension felt a bit stiff compared to my FIL CRV 2.0 yr 2014.
The SA told me that they have ready stock for grey and dark blue, but he also can't give me approximate ETA for the soul red

To those that already own the 2017 model, can check with you guys if the front passenger air bag can be disabled?
I know some cars have the button to disable the front air bag when using child seat.
I forgot to check or ask the SA when test drove the 2.2D last month

cheers,

was told now CX5 price increased by 1k (normal) and 3k for special color  blink.gif really?

Mazda HQ also now going thru the system to get rid of those ppl who booked with different dealers / branches, etc, so that no double booking or wrongly advertised to say xxx units booked but in actual fact, to exclude 20% of it
*
I also received a call from an SA at Mazda Glenmarie that they also expected a price increase of Rm1k for normal and maybe Rm2-3k for special colour, but said he couldn't confirm when the increase will take effect as no instruction from HQ yet

any promo for 2017 new CX-5 model?
*
I’ve asked around from 6-7 dealers in Klang Valley and Seremban and received quotes from 500 to 2500 discount for 2017 2.2D. Normally dealers will offer more discount compared to Bermaz SA.
I’ve placed booking for 2018 car as the discount offered for 2017 not really worth it IMO.
Fingers crossed my loan application is approved icon_rolleyes.gif

planning to get mazda CX5 2.0 GLS,

any good package nowadays?

went test run in pg auto city, awesome yo.
*
Normally dealers are willing to give you discount, but when I shopped around before I placed my booking for 2.2D, the most I ever received is Rm2.5k for 2017 car.
Bermaz SAs don't normally give discount, especially on hot models with waiting list.

Almost all SAs that I asked told me there will be a 1k to 3k price hike from 2018 so I booked a 2.2D but insisted on 2018 car on my booking form.
Only managed to get RM500 discounts and backpack from the lucky draw vouchers.
As my loan is already approved based on 2017 price, hopefully if there is any price hike next year, it will not affect my purchase price.

When I went to visit Glenmarie showroom on Saturday with the missus, my SA also told me the earliest that I can expect for my 2018 2.2D FWD DC blue is 3rd week Jan. If I want to change to premium soul red, prepare to wait up to April.
As the missus is fine with the DC blue, we stick with our colour selection as long as it is yr 2018 production

I got this 2018 pricelist from user WF Tan from MCCM page in FB

About Rm1.1k increased compared to my booking price for 2.2D Fwd metallic.
Premium colour is now RM3k option, compared to Rm2k in 2017

Does the new CX-5 support Android Auto ?
*
Both AA and CP are not supported at the moment, but there are some announcements from Mazda overseas, could be UK or Ozzie IIRC that Mazda is working on the update to get AA and CP to work in the new CX-5.
No idea on Malaysian market though

I have just cancelled my 2.2d booking. Pissed off as I was informed even my booking was last year, I still need to pay for the price hike as the delivery is on 2018.
*
Bad moves Bermaz mad.gif
They should honour the price for those that already booked in 2017

Btw, did you book premium colour too?
If yes, that is easily more than 2k increased over your booking price

Hi Guys,

im considering to get a CX-5, but still struggling either go for 2.0 or 2.5 version, can anyone here can give some advise or opinion? 2.0 will feel underpower since car heavier and big.

thanks guys in advance
*
If your normal drivng route doesn’t involve lots of overtaking, uphill climb, carrying full load, you might be quite contend with 2.0.
But for me, with 2.0 NA 2011 Sportage and 2014 CRV as my driven cars, I do find the 2.0 NA SUV doesn’t cut it anymore.

haih!! like all the bro here said, bloody Bermaz damn greedy, i also booked much earlier and just received a call that my wife' unit will be expecting delievery end of Jan 2018. However, despite booked earlier but price based on when your car delievered, ie. new price  mad.gif

For other makes, they will based on the price on when you booked but this Bermaz ..... haih!! Mazda has nice car, no doubt but Bermaz spoilt all

To spice things up, Honda also giving rebates and angpow for their car but bloody greedy Bermaz add price instead

Anyone of you get any special deal or free gift etc? think mine max is a pathetic umbrella .... my goodness!!!

This explained why Mazda cannot up another level of sales despite it is such a nice car
*
I got Rm500 voucher, which my dealer said can be used as cash rebate to deduct from the purchased price and a bagpack.

Btw, my SA told me that my loan with Maybank Islamic has been approved on the 28 Dec 2017 but so far the bank has not call me to sign the loan agreement.
The only call I received from the bank was only last week that Maybank wants to send me a credit card as I applied for their hire-purchase loan.
As I was driving when I received the call, didn't have time to probe her further on the loan.

Normally when do bank will call again and ask us to sign the loan agreement?
Is it when the dealer inform the bank that the car will be ready soon?
Kinda worried that the interest rate will increase from what my SA told me earlier then the one bank indicates on the loan agreement

I booked before the Christmas holiday, and that time they have 2 lucky draws after you placed your booking.
One is for cash vouchers ranging from Rm500 to 2500, and the other is for normal gift

This is for old or new cx5 model? A SA said this voucher only for old model. New model no discount or voucher. Not true?
*
My SA said the voucher is valid for all models.
He also photocopied my booking form with both vouchers clearly shown on it.

But knowing Bermaz, anything can happen

Mazda must be freakin desperate to clear 2017 CX5 stock now.

My loan just approved and the SA called me n said if I’m willing to take 2017 car, he can give me a 6000 discount from 2017 price list.

Memang wtf. But i insist 2018.
*
Seems like the 2018 cars are already started to be delivered to buyers, although so far most are the normal colour.
If the SA ask you to take 2017 car, ask for at least 16k discount, just liek what KIA is offering to the buyers for Sportage and Sorento late last year

No branch has 2.5 or 2.2d available for test drive? Only the hq?
*
If you live in Klang Valley, try to go to Bermaz HQ during the weekend if you want to test drive the 2.2D or 2.5
The roads in Glenmarie are a bit quiet during the weekend for you to test the acceleration and hnadling of the CX-5.

But will be bringing the missus and kid when collecting my new ride
