dry.gif Lol, hope it worth to spend on the 0W-30..

Just out of curiosity, read the owner manual and it stated best to use 0W-20 from Mazda genuine EO or from Castrol EO.

Mazda genuine engine oil, do Mazda do have this?? And when check through the castrol website, don't see any 0W-20 EO also.

Mind share some info.  biggrin.gif

Mazda only have Shell Ultra 5W40 and 0W30 for fully synthetic and semi synthetic Shell HX7 5W30.....only Shell....0W30 much better compare to Fully 5W40 and Semi 5W40 but not as good as others good EO....

Do consult Sh@rty 5 in this forum or alternatively you may join CX5 FB clubs as they have plenty of good seller there.
Again, mostly all from KL region while I can't even find 1 good price shop in Penang yet. Most of shop in other region seem to be high in term of price haha!!

Head down to Bermaz PJ for my 1000km service, requested 0W-30 and mentioned that I'm willing to pay for the top up for this EO. In the end, the SC use the normal stock EO Semi 5w-30 for me. The counter told me that their technician decline to use 0w-30 for the petrol type car and it just for diesel type car. Hopefully this 5w-30 won't feel sluggish when 7000km.

Wish to write in officially to Bermaz to allow owner to bring in own EO (the recommended brand and type) for servicing. Quite unfair for the owner, just because the SC want to profit from it.

Thanks sooooo much for the information, can I check with you, in terms of legging space, is it spacious enuf? Also, for the parts to maintain the car, will it be costly compare with Nissan and Toyota?

Currently there are few version of CX-5 right? I can even see there is manual version. Is there a clipped gear to overtaking car?

Yeah, I will test drive it myself this upcoming Saturday to experience both. How long has this car been released? When was the current model released in Malaysia?
*
Back row may not be the spacious, as cannot adjust the reclining position. However, there are aftermarket parts for that.

Maintenance? it is free service and labour for the first 60k km or 3 years which ever come first. Parts wise I guess won't be cheaper than Toyota.

CX-5 2.0 got 2 variants, low spec and high spec. Then there's the 2.5L and a 2.2 Diesel.

Current facelift version comes with a sport mode, just a flick of the button and it will hold the gear at higher rpm before the next change. Pretty useful when overtaking or going uphill for 2.0. Alternatively u can go to manual mode.

This car is almost 5 years now and still Mazda's best seller.

How's your test drive?

Already decided to go for Honda HRV V spec, as its better to invest more money on house rather than car as it is not asset and depreciation is much much faster on car value.

Getting HRV at cost of 120k ( Highest spec ) with 1.8cc and its compact SUV is kinda cost effective and best buck. Not really focus on driving really fast or overtaking consistently but more on family car usage and comfortable level ( spacious as main objective )
