QUOTE(blstz @ Jun 22 2018, 02:26 PM) can get your personal review on ceramic pro 9h coating? did you do the 3 layers or 6 layers + interior coating. i took 6 layers + interior coating 10 years package cost me 4k+ last time. For me the skill of the shop is important. My side the shop is not really good in polishing. the polish scattered and they still apply coating on it. My fren case, polished until the paint become dull.. over polished. im still not sure for the interior coating. was thinking of over the shelf leather protector products might be better. for interior actually nothing much help if u take care ur car.. cx5 interior sensitive to heat make sure ur tint and sun shade is good to block the heat if not ur steering will peel off. But i am 1.5 gen owner not sure if the same problem still exist in 2nd gen. I took the package because i wanted more layer of coat. And coating d doesnt mean you dont have to take care ur car. I left my car outdoor and prone for rain. Even wash my car every week / alternative week, i still get a lot of water mark where i have to send back to ceramic pro to correct it only after 6 months of application. |

QUOTE(tehoice @ Jun 22 2018, 03:10 PM) actually nothing can really prevent stone chips lah, imagine the tiny little stone can even cause your windscreen (such a hard surface) to crack, what's more on this tiny layer of paint? actually cx5 windscreen is really thin and soft. I read somewhere some owner smack a mosquito directly on windscreen with his palm and it cracked... |

QUOTE(blstz @ Jun 22 2018, 03:39 PM) oh thx for the review. no touch up required. send back for free. if u accident, one panel at 1 time they can do for u free. they verbally tell me there's a limit only how many times u can go in a year... 1st year 3 times, 2nd year 2 times, 3rd year 1 time and the rest the same.just wondering, you sent back to ceramic pro for touch up, how do they charge? i asked my local ceramic pro shop, they say dont need to go back for check. if want, can do once a year but they didnt tell me whether got charge. is it for the shop to tell you whether need touch up or where to touch up, or your own decision? |

QUOTE(Duckies @ Jun 22 2018, 03:41 PM) depends on how u see it dude.. u pay premium price for a porsche u might get plastic windows .. sometime its to consider the weight.. with the high strength tensile of this car with some part as high as 1800 mpa, this car only weight 1500 kg, they must find some way to reduce the weight. imagine a sedan like civic already weight 1316 kg so windscreen and noise insulation got scarified compare to other Japanese luxury suv like harrier / lexus |

QUOTE(Duckies @ Jun 22 2018, 04:02 PM) In the FB group there have been complains on the defect for SRC paint. Apparently the paint is too thin and very prone to chip compared to other paint. Some claim newer batch no more this issues. MCCM or CX5er?yea i think i read abt it. But stone chip i think very hard to prevent. Some claim newer batch no more this issues. <-- who claim? berjaya? |

QUOTE(nebula87 @ Jun 22 2018, 04:18 PM) Hmm...I hope that our Kulim plant notice that already. yup dun think Bermaz will bring u cos their plan to bring in Cx8. the price range should be close to cx8 d. Mazda 6 already have 2.5 turbo but its not imported here.Btw, the 2nd item that the ang moh shared, 2.5gls will be getting 2.5 Turbo engine from CX9. But i don't think Bermaz will bring that. |

QUOTE(Duckies @ Jun 22 2018, 04:10 PM) Not our local Mazda. It happens all around the world as well. So Mazda international "claimed" newer batches has no more issues. lol.. damn disgusting.. unless bermaz acknowledge it else i dont think there's much you can do.. Stone chip very hard to prevent but the paint chip is too over liao. |

QUOTE(nebula87 @ Jun 22 2018, 04:23 PM) Sigh difficult bro.. it will make it less affordable. Our price for GL starting from 120+ for a CKD model. In taiwan it cost RM131k (after currency conversion) but they are buying in CBU unit. In my personal opinion the main reason is ownership cost and the other concern might be the assembly of more part like sensor / radar by malaysia plant. are they good enough to assemble all this sensitive component? |

QUOTE(blstz @ Jun 22 2018, 04:29 PM) theoretically yes. But in most of the case u will get water mark some minor scratches. Those you need to send back for them they will polish off and recoat. You cannot polish or use abrasive wax to clean it by urself |

QUOTE(voncrane @ Jun 22 2018, 04:39 PM) Oh I see.. Yeah, mine pretty much was booked, loan approved and all payments completed.. Car got stock, checked and approved it for reg.. Waited for June 1st week and reg.. Picked up weekend... Still waiting on NCD rebates to be refunded. thats what T brand is facing. Mazda still selling like hot cakes especially cx5.. during raya plenty of second gen cx5 hitting the road the showroom close to my house also do not have any more stock. I think they are making good money despite lower volume compare to other brand. No lah, I believe all colors kena.. It's just the beauty and method of SRC makes it more prominent looking. Just like Sonic Silver and White don't show easily. Doesn't mean don't get chips. Just much less visible. They are good enough.. It all boils down to cost and profit margin.. Bermaz likes to make huge than norm margins and I doubt they have any ambitions to be class leader in Malaysia unlike H brand. So.. Can't be helped for now. Unless all boycott the brand and force them to reevaluate. |
